The Vampires

Chapter 2

"Do you know what you are doing? Why are you protecting this filthy creature? He tried to kill you!" Elizabeth's mother hissed. Elizabeth looked like she could erupt at any moment, which made  me laugh a little. " He was trying to warn us of the extinction of our kind!"She squawked. Her parents were puzzled over the fact that why would I, a werewolf and also their mortal enemy, help them, the vampires.

I explain everything to them, even the reason why I was helping them. They listened and took in the information.  They carefully lead me into their house and down a tunnel in their basement. The underground tunnel lead to a gigantic cave which the entire vampire population is now. They turned and saw me. They began snarling and bellowing at me.

Elizabeth's parents turned me over to their leader, the pureblood council. A group of  7 purebloods, direct descendants of the original 2 vampires,  Chalice and Lilith, with no human blood in them. Elizabeth and her family are the second in command, Aristocrats. Aristocrats are vampires with little amount of human blood in them. The council interrogated me and I merely told them the truth of Deucalion. 

They questioned where my loyalties lie but I shrugged it off and said " Believe me or not, I do not care, for it is your race that will pay the price if you choose a wrong choice.". This seem to get 1 of the 7 council members riled up. Eclipse looked at me with his blood-red eyes and growled " I am warning you. If you lead us into a trap, I swear that I will rip your head off that disgusting body of yours."

That statement almost made me laugh out loud but given the circumstances, I couldn't.  I just sat down and watched the members of the council give orders to stock up on silver weapons, send out scouts to find out confirm what I was talking about. In order to ensure my pack's safety, I made a deal with the council leader, Talon. I will help his vampires by fighting alongside him during the fight with Deucalion, in turn, his vampires will not harm my werewolves until Deucalion is defeated.

After the meeting had ended, Elizabeth and her family led me back out. Elizabeth brought me out of her house but before she went back in, I asked a question " Do you love me?" . She hesitated for a while before turning around and kissing me, she pressed her lips to mine, and it started out as a soft kiss that lingered. Then it was like something in me switched. I was kissing her deeply and hugging her close. My emotions were like fireworks. This is perfect. This is how it's supposed to be.
