A loud banging sound awoke me as Zielon stood next to the fragile wall, pounding his fist against the wood. Shifting onto my shoulder I glanced at the clock, 6 am. No what I wanted at this very time but if this is what I need to go through to find the murderer then this is what I'll do. Carefully sitting up I flinched as the curtains were ripped open, spilling yellow morning light in the still room. Dust particles fluttering in the air, sparkled against the dark contrast of his jacket. My back ached, a consequence of the hunt the previous day. I never thought that being hit by a fairy would hurt all that much, even though I called him Tinkerbell. Zielon gathered a small pile of clothes onto the foot of my bed, a white shirt, my jacket and blue jeans.
"I told you not to baby me Zielon." I breathed.
"Wow you actually said my name for once," He cackled. "I'm not babying you. It's helping you reach your potential and getting you ready for whatever you think you're getting into. With style of course."
"Hope you aren't going to make me wear white when I confront Castiel, I don't think angel blood is my colour." I joked, flicking my feet from under the covers and onto the soft carpet underneath.
"But the yellow and purple of bruises are?" He asked, sitting at the small table.
"Battle wounds Hellbounder, battle wounds. They don't last long anyways. Nothing over a few hours." I said, wanting to get the topic off myself and onto something else.
"Strange, usually human marks last longer. Any other surprises you want to pounce on me?" He winked.
Rolling my eyes I gestured my head towards the guest rooms door so I could slip into the clothes. He bought what I was selling and moved away, the door slamming behind me. REaching for the jeans on top of the pile I found that they were new, my bag sealed and in the exact place of last night. He bought me clothes? I thought, Being a demon I didn't think he'd be nice at all. Quickly putting on the materials and tying my hair into a messy ponytail, I whistled and he returned to the room.
"I took out what I guessed was rent money and paid the check out. We need to move now." He informed, catching me off guard that I gasped at his sudden dominance.
"No, questions first. First off, new clothes? Second, how did you know I have rent money?" I growled, pissed at the fact he may have rummaged through my private things
"New clothes to get a fresh leaf turned over for training. I found it in your backpack, zip lock bag with 'Rent Money' on the front. Plus you know someone from looking at their stuff." He says while tossing me the keys to the car.
"You went through my bag?" I yelled, surely waking the people who were sleeping next door.
"Shush honey, I only saw the book and clothes. No I didn't read it either." Zielon grimaced.
I stormed out, making sure the door slammed as loud as I could. Thoughts booming inside my head, Why did you agree? You seriously decided to trust Crowley? Unlocking my car, I quickly turned on the engine. The door opened again as Zielon ran out. The purr of the car muted his calls as I sped through the car park. Smirking to myself at my sudden win, I turned the radio's volume up, Maneater by Nelly Furtado ringing through the sound system. A crackling noise swerved my car off the road and into a patch of grass. Blinking over and over again the overwhelming smell of smoke filled my vehicle, Zielon was seated in the back, a wicked grin on his face.
"Seriously Echo, I don't give up that easily." He remarked, pulling out a small pen like object, holding it to my right shoulder.
"Sorry but I prefer not to be violated by a subject of Morningstar himself because he got bored in Hell." I protested as a burning sensation filled my right side.
"Stay still, this will keep you near." He commanded, placing a large hand to my other shoulder, pressing down.
The burning slowly subsided, I turned my head to see what on Earth he had down to me, only confronted with a white mark in the shape of a circle with a square on the inside. Looking back now, facing him, I grabbed his collar piercing into his eyes. Joy filled his bright irises as he returned the stare.
"What in the name of Axel Rose did you do to me?" I spat, throwing him backwards into the seat.
"I used a bonding rune. No whenever you leave I know where you are and save your ass." He smirked back, flattening his shirt out.
"Bonding rune? Are you freaking kidding me?" I groaned, pulling back out into traffic, narrowly avoiding a speeding car.
"You Venator sonsabitches are hard to keep track of. I need to keep you close. Cas wouldn't be expecting back up. Especially from a demon." Zielon pointed out, getting himself comfortable in the seat.
"We're hard to keep track of? We ask for one speck of help with something and y'all just flutter off." I exclaimed, breaking extra hard, making him lurch forward in the seat.
"We don't flutter sweetie. We ain't fairies, I prefer the term 'self defense without the violence'" He snorted, seeming amused by my attempt to anger him again.
"Oh my, all demons are sissy." I giggle, smiling at the road ahead.
"Dont confuse me with some of the low life demons, I happen to be th-"
"You are all low lives. Somehow lower than those abominations to Heaven people call angels. Zielon, that's all you are and all you are going to be. Now don't go having a hissy fit when you know I'm not the first person to use this card, I can see it on you face and in your eyes." I raised my voice at his sudden arrogance, nothing I shouldn't have expected from him.
Silence then fell over the interior, Zielon gazing out the window as I sped down the freeway. Taking random road signs, we ended up in Hastings by night fall. Rubbing my left eye with the back of my hand, I took a right into a hotel car park. Yay, another night with it! I spat in my mind. Not wasting anytime staying with him I got out the car. A shiver went down my spine, hurrying my process of retrieving clothes and basic weapons. Swirling around, I shot two bullets from my gun, hoping to of gotten rid of whatever gave me the chills.
"Geez kitten, it's nice to see you too." A familiar British voice grunted.
"Seriously Crowley? Sneaking up on a hunter, especially one who doesn't care what she shoots?" I huffed, Zielon by my side in an instant.
"Sorry but you can't stay in this town, move two over. There are angels here, don't want your plan to be ruined now do we?" He informed, brushing his coat out, briefly nodding at the demon beside me.
"Yes sire, we will do that at once." Zielon answered, Crowley disappearing as fast as he arrived.
"Angels? I thought they all went back upstairs?" I questioned, confusion flooding my head.
"Maybe they had some sort of unfinished business to take care of? Like rogues or something?" He tried comforting me but I walked away, heading to the office for a room.
"Rogues? No, doesn't sound like angel behavior. Is there something else they could be hiding?" I said, signing my name in a log in book and grabbing the keys.
"No not at all." He croaked, an uneasy feeling spilling into him.
