First Last Kiss

Chapter 2: I Can't Believe this is Happening

Ryder's POV

I can't believe this is happening. I love Sadie and she knows that! So why is she doing this to me? This isn't fair! I would never do anything to hurt her and I hope she knows that!

As I am chasing after Sadie through the woods, I start to notice that her legs become weaker and weaker. Before I know it she is passed out in front of me. I have no idea what just happened but, if I was correct after all of my wolf training, I think I might have just witnessed the girl I love so dearly that wasn't a werewolf as far as I know, have a wolf siezure.

I can't believe what I am seeing. She has cuts all over her hands and legs and a big gash on her forehead. I decide to take her back to her house as Sterling, Sadie's older brother is a trained surgeon since last year. I also know that Sadie hates the hospital and would of killed me if I take her there.

Knowing this, I call Sterling on my phone and tell him Sadie is hurt and I am bringing her back home. Sterling seems to be in a panic as soon as the words left my mouth. I quickly hang up and pick her up bridal style, making sure not to touch any of her cuts.

I run as fast as I can back to my truck and gently lay her down in the back seat. As I glance down at her pale face, memories start to flood my mind. All the reasons why I love her start to take over, her gorgeous, long, golden hair with natural blonde streaks, her turquoise eyes and her caring personality but also she how she doesn't care about what anyone thinks of her. She always dresses nicely and always makes good impressions on everyone, but if some how someone doesn't like her, she didn't care what they thought or what they told everyone, she was always herself. Oh and her sarcastic side made me laugh so hard sometimes. She always made me laugh. I loved the way that every time she saw me she would glow, it made me feel amazing knowing that I made her happy, which is all I ever wanted. For her to be happy.

A thought wormed its way into my mind, what if she is my mate? No that can't be right she is human, probably, and besides, I am over-exaggerating, she didn't have a wolf seizure and she isn't going to die.

I arrive at the house. I quickly open the car door, pick Sadie up bridal style once again and run up to the front door pushing it open and not bothering to close the car door.

"Sterling!" I yell.

"Sterling" I scream even louder.

"I'm in the surgery upstairs!" he yells back at me.

I run up the stairs, still holding Sadie in my arms. I slowly lower her onto the surgery bed gave Sterling a begging look.

'Please don't let her die.' I plead as my eyes scan over her pale, limp body. The amount of blood she has lost is truly scary. I honestly think I'm going to lose her.

"I promise I won't let her die, but you need to wait outside the room while I perform surgery, so she doesn't get infected with germs." He states.

I slowly bend down and gently give her a kiss on her forehead (the side that didn't have the gash on it), and walk out of the room.

I finally hear Sterling yell out to me saying I could come in. They had been in surgery for 3 hours and the wait is killing me.

I walk into the room and see that she isn't awake. I ask Sterling if I can have some time alone with her. He nods and leaves the room. I carefully bend over Sadie putting my hands on either side of the bed and gently give her a kiss on her cheek. I grab her hand and sit down on the chair beside the bed.

"Sadie if you can hear me please wake up, don't leave me now I will never forgive myself if you didn't." I kiss her hand and start talking to her again.

"I love you so much Sadie and I can't lose you now. If you don't want to be with me any more that's fine but I will never stop loving you, I don't know what I would do if you died. This is all my fault! If I hadn't have kept asking you all of those questions, this wouldn't have happened. Please wake up."

I sit beside the bed in silence for almost 3 more hours. In those 3 hours the rest of her brothers had come in one after the other, first came Dane and his girlfriend Felicity, second came Cole and his wife Gage and their twins Jace and Park, third came Ben and his new girlfriend who's name I didn't know. Next came Sadie's twin, Nathan and his girlfriend Becca, and last but not least Alexis Sadie's younger sister.

As they all came in I apologised for what I had done but they all said it wasn't my fault. That it was an accident and I had nothing to do with it they all agreed except for Nathan. Nathan and Sadie were really close. We used to do everything together Sadie, Nathan and I, but when I asked Sadie out he wouldn't speak to me for a while because he thought I was going to hurt her. When Nathan walked into the room he whispered something I couldn't quite hear, he then made is way over to the chair I was sitting on. He punches me in the face. I slowly slide onto the ground and let him punch me until Sterling came in and pulled him off me.

After Sterling stitches my face up, Alexis comes in and asks if I am ok, then she walks over to Sadie giving her a hug.

When everyone left the room except Sterling and I; I ask him what had happened to her. He hesitates for a minute, he then says she had a seizure. In that moment I suspected something, I didn't know what to say.

It has been a week since Sadie went into a coma. Today is her birthday; Sadie still isn't awake and I have a funny feeling that it was going to stay like that. I haven't left their house since the day she had the seizure. I am starting to get really worried.

I am now walking from the room I am staying in; to the surgery were Sadie is. I open the door and walk over to the bed, I lean over her to give her a kiss on the forehead when suddenly...

Sadie's POV

My eye lids feel really heavy as I start to open them. As my vision becomes clearer I start to see a figure leaning over me. I then come to realise that it is Ryder, my boyfriend. I am so glad to see him, I feel like I have been asleep for a week or something. I don't know why.

When my eyes are fully open I can't help myself but stare at his shirtless torso with his perfect abs and his tanned skin. He sees me staring at him but before he can say anything I grab his face and kiss him. I can't resist his gorgeous turquoise eyes and his short, spiky, black hair any longer. I can tell he is shocked because he didn't kiss me back for a few seconds. Our lips move in sync as our heads move from side to side. The kiss is warm, passionate and lustful. His soft tongue slowly caresses my bottom lip, asking for entrance which I gladly give him. Our tongues dance in each others mouths for what seems like eternity. When we pull away for air, I try to pull him in for another kiss but fail as he had already run out the door. I have no clue as to why but I wait for him to return so I can smash my lips against his again. When he does return, he comes with the whole family, including my brother's girlfriends.

I don't understand, I try to ask Sterling what happened but it doesn't work, all of my brothers are too engrossed in giving me hugs, along with their girlfriends; so I decide to let them give me their hugs and wait until they have finished before I ask them what happened to me.
