Chapter 1

Athenodora had put up a fit that he had to go out on this mission himself. He too was displeased, but it wasn't as though he was going out on "Holiday." He literally had no choice this time.

There were preps from the Romanian Coven, he had to make sure it was just "nothing" vs "something". There had been rumors floating around about them seeking out assistance be it shifters or werewolves.

They had been re-introduced to wolves, shall we say better "house trained wolves" since being introduced by the Cullen's awhile ago.

Carlisle being able to make an agreement with his "Treaty" probably gave the Romanian Coven "Ideas".

Since the Cullen's knew of shifters, this made the Volturi have to have eye's and ears everywhere to keep their existence a secrete.

At times it can even cause a King a headache, let alone three.

As for the mission, turns out is was a band of rogues, creating a fuss near a human city.

Lucky for them the rogue shifter had just imprinted on a human. The human had no information about Vampires or Shifters. This did still require the Volturi's attention though, so the Vampire that brought this information may actually get a reward.

Having the most hate for wolves of Any kind. Naturally Caius was chosen, killing it in human form and disposing it went fine.

It did Verify shifters were nearby though. They will need to have a meeting when he got back.

After torturing the shifter in human form, he did admit on the life of his imprint he was alone. Still the Coven has been trying to recruit shifters.

(Seems accurate, and it made sense) Caius thought

Him coming out for a mission gets him out of the 'Usual' trial so it pleases him. He doesn't have any gifts like the other two Kings so this gives him a chance to stretch his legs a bit and fight if needed.

He doesn't come out often, but when he does there's a reason. Aro pushed him to go this time as well. He's been crankier than usual...and a bit irritated.

He had a pain in his chest that wouldn't leave him since yesterday. The closer he drew home, it began to lessen a bit.

Everyone was now returning to the castle, it was early hours of morning and he smelled it, then he heard it.

First the Vampire Male by the scent 'Far' to Masculine.

The second the Ambrosial aroma of a 'Female' ....

That was all it took...He..was gone

His Inner Vampire sprang after it. He couldn't stop himself if he tried....'MINE'!!!!

Observing on the rooftops the King and guardsmen

The male vampire was stalking in the shadows. The woman apparently was just coming out of a late night showing of the theater. There were many people coming out, but he eyed her.
