Saying goodbye is a hard thing to do...
But letting go is even harder...
Jimin left quietly and with a smile on his face. You couldn't understand why he could be so happy when you felt like you were tearing apart... You just guessed that maybe he was happy this was happening? Not in a bad way at all...
No, Jimin seemed happy that you and him would have a new start at life. Maybe he knew what you really wanted? Jimin said that he would call and text every day for the rest of his life. You were more than happy to agree on those terms with him...
The most painful part about Jimin leaving was...You knew you were going to be okay.
Staring at the swirling colors in the pond you thought of telecom. You thought of the beautiful fields of flowers they had and the soothing pond beside the dorms. You thought of the first time Jimin spoke to you... "don't get lost in the trees monkey."
You swiped your hand across the calm water, making it go in distress, as you buried your head in your hands. "you always had a thing for ponds didn't you."
You raised your head slowly to the calm voice. A smile spread across your cheeks as Jungkook placed himself beside you. "yeah I guess you can say that." You chuckle and wipe at your face. "listen Jungkook i-."
"I know (y/n)." Jungkook said making your eyes widen. "jimin called me and told me everything." He said squeezing your hand in his and pushing his forehead against yours. "he said he wanted me to take care of you again..."
"h-he said that." You said as your voice cracked. You squeezed Jungkooks hand harder as you felt the burn of your tears wanted to fall. "I-...ugh" you said breaking down into Jungkooks chest and letting the tears fall.
"you love him don't you?" Jungkook asked quietly as you sobbed into his chest. Your hands squeezed the soft material of his t-shirt as he spoke. Your head nodded softly against his chest and you could hear his soft steady heartbeat.
