After school, Naomi and I didn't go home. We grabbed our backpacks, which held clothes and other 'necessities'. After leaving the building we walked to the local Walgreen's and bought some cigarettes with the help of our fake ID's. The whole sneaking out thing wasn't exciting anymore to be completely honest, which I always am of course. But since our parents stopped caring, and we ran out of places to go all we did was drink, and get high for a few hours then pass out and go home like it was any other day. Which at this point it pretty much was.
"Bro. Like, you know that girl from lunch today? The one that was freaking out because her you and her 'boy toy' made eye contact?" Naomi was always looking for trouble. I didn't mind that about her. She kept life exciting for the both of us.
"Mhm.." I tend to mumble a lot, which is something my teachers, and parent scolded me about non stop. Naomi didn't mind though. She didn't care when I was awkward or when I stuttered and mumbled. I think we're both proud to be each other's best and only real friends.
"Welllll, I was thinking. Since Mr. Hottie looked extremely miserable the whole time she was near him, we could invite him out with us tonight? I'm sure I can find some guys number from a party or something in my phone." She was always partying. Even when I wasn't with her. She would get guy's numbers left and right. "Just to spice things up..Ya feelin me?"
"Yeah that sounds great you piece of shit. But for one, we don't know his name. And two, we have no way of contacting him." By now we had been out of the store, and walking down the street for about ten minutes.
"Well my friend. Whoever gave you that information was lying." She pulled out her phone, and showed me a name in her contacts.
'Troye Michalson'
(219)-420-0666
(A/N: I'M NOT SURE IF THAT'S A REAL NUMBER SO IF YOU CALL IT I'M NOT SURE WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN.)
"Well I'm not surprised." I stopped walking, grabbed Naomi's phone, sat down on the curb and hit the 'call' button next to his name.
After a few rings he answered.
"Heyyy Troye."
"Hi? Who is this?" He has a nice voice, deep and raspy. He honestly almost has the same voice as Dylan Carlson back in the 90's. It's quite soothing.
"It's Alice Harvord. We made eye contact at lunch." I tried my best to do a cute giggle, but failed and sounded like a dying whale. Naomi was practically rolling around on the ground beside me.
"Ah..Yeah. What's up" He chuckled through the phone. Holy shit his voice is beautiful.
"So anyways. Naomi and I were wondering..If you wanted to come camp out with us and one of her guy friends." That was me attempting to be nonchalant.
"Well uh. Stacey and I kinda had plans..Maybe she could come too..?" Of course this was going to happen.
Before I knew it, Naomi snatched her phone out of my hand, and was blabbing to Troye about how miserable he looked and how his relationship sucked. He clearly didn't like being the jock he was, and hated being controlled by that 'skank' as Naomi put it.
"Therefore I think you should come with us, because we aren't controlling, or annoying. We're fun and will let you be yourself." She paused for a moment. "Think about it. I'll text you where we're going."
"Well I got that taken care of." She smiled with satisfaction and slid her phone into her back pocket.
"A little straight forward huh?" She's always been like that though. Always getting right to the point. It's another thing in the list of many that I love about her.
"You know me hun. Always getting right to the point." She reached down, grabbed my hand and pulled me off the ground. We were on our way.

After about 20 minutes of walking around we finally found the perfect place. It was about 3 miles from the school, and far back in the woods, down by a river.
"Dude...How come we've never been here before? It's amazing!" Naomi yelled the last part, with her arms in the air, and spinning in circles, before collapsing onto the damp ground in a fit of laughter.
"I have no idea" I looked back at her and winked, before running down the steep hill, kicking my shoes off, throwing my phone, and attempting to take my pants off and failing. I finally made it to the river, still fully clothed besides my shoes and flung myself into it. The water was quite cold but I didn't mind. The feeling was amazing.
"Watch out!" Before I knew it, Naomi was running down the hill in her bra and underwear, because of our lack of bathing suits, and flung herself into the water next to me.

A few hours later, after getting out of the river and drying off for a little bit Naomi's phone started buzzing.
She checked the caller ID before answering, and tossing it to me.
"Hello?" I didn't get a chance to check who it was.
"Hey.. Alice?" He paused. "It's Troye. I'm probably going to regret this..But I cancelled my plans with Stacey. She's going over to Sammy's house." He sighed, and continued. "Where are you guys?"
"Hi!! No you won't regret it one bit. But uh here. I'm gonna give Naomi her phone because I actually do not know where we are exactly."
"Oh.. Alright"
After telling Troye where we were in the woods, he showed up about 15 minutes later. By car. Naomi also called her 'friend' aka the stranger that she probably only spoke to once. He showed up right after Troye got there.
"Soo.." Troye, and the boy called Devin stood awkwardly next to each other, and Naomi and I sat on the ground giggling.
"Join us!" Naomi patted the ground around us. "We don't bite." She winked at Devin. "I mean, I don't." She looked quickly between Troye and I. My cheeks were heating up and I could tell they were bright red.
I stood up, pulling Naomi with me. "Tonight, we are free." We both fell into a fit of laughter, and the boys started to laugh as well.
