The Workout Scene

Eve's POV

The Ray of Light by Madonna blasted through my oversized beats by Dre headphones as I started to take more wacks at the punching bag before me. I sang out loud in my own little world.

"Faster than the speeding light she's flying! Trying to remember where it all began...She's got herself a little piece of heaven...Waiting for the time when Earth shall be as --"I stopped singing as I felt a tug on my headphones causing them to fall off my ears. I swiftly turned around.

"Hello?" The man asked.

I eyed the mysterious man before me, giving him a smile though I'm slightly irritated that he just rudely interuptered a good workout. I croaked out a greeting, wiping the sweat from my forehead with the back of my hand.

"I couldn't help but notice all of the anger you were just expressing with the punching bag there." The stranger nodded his head in the direction at which the punching bag was. I squinted my eyes a bit, as I'm puzzled.

"Oh.. I'm not angry, it's just that.. I don't know. I'm just working out." I shrugged my shoulders, picking up my cold water bottle from the floor, unscrewing the cap and taking a swig of it.

"Well.." he started. "I'm sorry for bothering you. Good day." and with that he turned around and left my sighting. I crunched the now empty bottle in my hand, not bothering to put the cap on it before I tossed it in the waste basket.

After that guy interrupted me at the gym I couldn't get in the mind set I was in before because all of my thoughts that I was escaping from came back. All because of him. All because of a one minute encounter with a stranger who was apparently concerned anout me. I sighed, wringing the water out of my hair before stepping out of the shower. I wrapped a towel around my body, slipping on slippers I had put there before my shower so I wouldn't track water to my room. After throwing on a super big over sized 'Drug free' CM Punk shirt with a bit of water dripping from my hair even though I tried to wring it all out, I decided to call it a night. Well, that is until someone decided to knock on my door.
