Cruising down the road of life,
not a speed bump in sight.
Then all of a sudden,
you hit a red light.
You try to find a way out,
but there's nowhere to go.
Can you overcome this problem?
You just don't know.
Your pain and sadness,
your sorrow and heartache.
Overcoming them will not easy,
make no mistake.
It will be worth it,
every bruise and every scrape,
But if you just give up now,
all your efforts go to waste.
I know that it's hard,
I've been there before.
Being beaten down by the words of others,
believing I was dirt and nothing more
Before long,
I started believing what they said.
I started hating my life,
started wishing I was dead.
I felt as though,
nobody wanted me around.
That nobody would care if I left,
so long as I didn't make a sound.
I've been called ugly,
and stupid and useless.
I went through each day,
feeling like little more than refuse.
But every time I was shoved down,
I forced myself to my feet.
I forced myself to keep on living,
I refused to accept defeat.
When stones fly,
and they're all aimed at you.
You just got to keep on living,
bite the bullet and push through.
And when a wall blocks your path,
and stops you from moving forward,
Don't give up so easily,
because on the other side could be your reward.
If you weren't meant to be here,
you'd be gone already.
So despite all this pain
and heartache that makes you unsteady
You have to look past it,
to the joy that awaits.
Because if you have sadness and depression weighing you down,
how can you possibly hope to elevate?
Everybody's life,
will have ups and downs
But if you can see past the bad and focus on good,
there'll be more smiles and a lot less frowns.
Your life may not be easy,
but taking it would be a mistake.
I know that it's hard,
and that you have a lot on your plate.
But taking your own life,
is a poor way to solve this.
I guarantee that if you left,
you would be greatly missed.
You just have to push past all of it,
you just have to rise above it all.
Because you were made beautifully,
you were meant to stand tall.
Pushing past your problems,
I guarantee will be worth it.
You have a bright future ahead of you,
even if right now you can't see it.
So when life gets you down,
don't give up just yet.
You still have a whole life to live out,
and it's going to get better, I'm willing to bet.
And when that red light,
finally turns green,
and you start on your journey,
