I wanted to cry, I wanted to scream, but my throat was empty. I wanted to turn my back, I didn't want to see anymore. I wished darkness before my closed, teary eyes; such a comfortable view. Monochrome and silent. No red of burning flames or blood. No desperate screams crying for help. But I would have never been in this situation if my parents thirteen years prior would have sent me into the government.

Many years ago when I was young my parents realized I wasn't a normal child in a middle-class family home, no I was "different". The doctor was scared and posed me as a threat to myself and my family and that I should be in captivity away from the public eye. Nobody was to know of my circumstances or my existence, little did they know that sending their child away to be "safe" was not really how it was going to be over the course of the next thirteen years.

I am assuming my parents never expected that their now thirteen year old child is fending for herself as well as taking care of her family at least the only family she has ever really known.

Taking care of her younger family members is usually the worst, Avocet and Grimm always like to pick fights in the middle of doing their chores which is not something I take lightly as living alone in the middle of nowhere you kind of need certain things to be done.

"Living with you guys really kills sometimes ya know?"

"Agreed" stated my (not to be dramatic or make-believe) favorite family member Millan. Millan may only be a few months younger than me but he has the most intelligence out of all of us Asgard. He had lived unnoticed by the government in Russia much longer than the rest of us living a normal life in an orphanage and even went to school a little while until some teachers noticed certain things and that is when "they" came. We don't talk about things like this too much as it relishes out some bad memories for him.

Avocet and Grimm although the youngest out of all of us, they do help a lot when it comes to doing chores around the house. Since fresh food is all we have that is what we use. One day Avy came up to me while she was picking berries in our fields when she ran to me in the house. I was making blackberry jam with my rusty pot that is as ancient as the house itself, falling apart and older than dirt. Stomping her small feet on the floor throwing mud everywhere from the bed to the fire stove, breathing heavily, and face stricken with fear. I had never seen her like this before, the little carefree child that I had always known to that point had gone away and changed into this girl who can barely hold herself together.

"ZEHARRAH! ZEHARRAH!" Avy screamed, but almost in a cautious tone, not something you would expect from her.

"I saw someone! A man, in black watching me and Grimm" she could barely get the words out but they still came crawling down. It seems so unbelievable to me, this has never happened before, I don't know what to do. For a second I thought it could be some weird person roaming the middle of nowhere until my thought process was cut short when Avy added one piece of information that changed our lives completely.

"He had a camera.... he took pictures of me, Grimm, the house, and the land."

I stood in utter shock. I knew this day would come but not this soon. I thought we would be middle-aged and experienced, not merely teenagers, so hence this is when the adventure begins.
