When he woke up, Lance was greeted by an unfamiliar scent. It wasn't an odour, nor was it a pleasant smell.
He sat up, a throb in his head telling him to lay back down. He felt a burn next to his right eye. He ignored the pain to take in his surroundings.
The room he was in was dimly lit. Maybe by a candle or natural light. He was handcuffed to a rod which was attached to a wall.
A bang echoed through the room, followed by loud footsteps. Lance looked up.
"Zedd?" he whispered, the name came to him said he always knew it. It came with a swell of emotion. Zedd didn't respond. His face was bloody, his eyes were almost closed, senseless.
The unconscious man was being held up roughly by two leather clad hands. They shoved Zedd onto Lance, the younger man's blood stained his white shirt.
Lance's heart started to beat faster his palms were sweaty and his eyes wide. He looked up to find a beefy looking man look down at him, a disgusting smirk on his face.
"Your pretty, no wonder the boss choose you." he said, sliding a sticky finger against his cheek staining it with grease and blood. Lance could only cringe.
Sensing his discomfort the guard's smirk only grew before he got up and headed towards the door.
Lance felt Zedd stir. He looked down to find his haunting hazel eyes looking right into his blue ones. He shifted.
Zedd sat up and looked at the familiar man. "I know you." he stated simply.
Lance looked away. He felt like he was going to break in half if he looked at him again. He felt heartbroken.
Zedd looked intensely Lance. He had the sudden urge to kiss his soft lips. Zedd shook the thought away.

Their love is a strange thing. Erased from their memory, forgotten. Zedd wasn't an Outlaw, Lance wasn't a businessman.
Unknowingly they had been caught by their worst enemy. Someone they had chosen to forget. Unwillingly.
He laughed as the two of them sat in that room, trapped from their world and his. Their powers were useless. Their powers were taken, with their memory.
Zedd and Lance were trapped in a world they made.
