Prim sat, watching with an unwavering gaze at the fiery orb that mingled with the rolling clouds. An orange tore open the pale white and yellow dyed the plump clouds left behind. It was a sight to be cherished, but she couldn't for much longer.

"Prim, get down here!"

She sighed and closed the window blinds, rolling off the bed as she did so. "Yes, Bryn." she replied, gently softening the creases on her dress.

She made her way down the oak-wood staircase, creaks shadowing her every move. The house was old and battered, but it was all she knew - it was home, or at least for her. She pulled her hair back into a tight bun and took a deep breath as she reached the last step. Just then, a lady strolled in. Her hair was dirty blonde and tightly held back from her face. Her eyes were firm and stern though she bared a gentle expression.

"Are you ready yet?" she asked, walking towards Prim and readjusting Prim's hair.

"Yes. When are we set to go?"

"Now."

The lady and Prim walked together, their heels trotting on the wooden flooring. They walked towards the front door when suddenly:

"Are you sure nobody's here?" Prim asked, as she came to a halt.

"No, I'm not. We have to make a run for it. Now hold my hand." she said harshly.

The pair grasped hands and took a deep breath. The lady, Bryn put her hand on the door knob. "Promise me, you won't let go." She turned it carefully - the spindle running inside it steadily moving with her hand. Prim stood beside her, anxiety submerging her body into an endless pool of worry and pessimism. It was done.
