teddy waits for charlie in the shop.
hours pass, and while she's there, she orders a total of 4 coffees and two pastries.
three mochas with extra whipped cream and caramel drizzle, and a cup of green tea. charlie's favorite, or at least her favorite from years ago.
she orders a sweet bagel and a cinnamon roll as well.
for the first time ever, charlie doesn't pass by.

charlie glances at the corner shop out of the passenger window as she and her boyfriend whizz by in his recently-shady-bought-off-craigslist honda accord (which, she admits, he is way more proud of than he should be).
she wonders if maybe teddy waited for her again today. she wonders, vaguely, if teddy waits for her everyday. then she looks back at casey and frowns. probably not. and why did she care anyway? she had casey now. charlie lets out a dry laugh. yes, casey. he gives her everything she needs. why would she want anything more? they were in love.
teddy doesn't matter anymore.
at least, that's what she tries to convince herself.
