The sun shown bright through the large glass roof as she sat at the light marble table; hair glowing as the sun beat down on her pale skin, her beautifully flowing summer dress with those small pink flowers she thought cute.

Her laugh echoed, her beautiful smile taking over as he leaned closer to kiss her. She disappeared almost magically in an instant.

Reaching out to grab her, he stared at the empty seat in front of himself. He looked up, the sun quickly becoming night and rain as he came back to reality.

Rain beat heavily, the one lamp's light illuminating the lonely room. Sighing as he stood, he snapped the lights off, briskly walking towards his stairs with a hip out; hearing her sweet voice ringing through his ears like calm streams flowing in an empty forest.

He whispered a response almost silently immediately becoming lost in the surrounding darkness, consuming his words like famished lions. He paused in front of their family portrait. She had been gone for so long; so many years. Their three kids had grown up, creating families of their own.

As he laid on his bed he looked to the opposite side where his wife should have been.

Untouched.

Unmoved.

The sheets looked dusty, yet well kept.

Closing his eyes he let the darkness once again take him over.

He dreamt of her when they were younger; her brown eyes would pour in to his as she stared in to his green ones.

Drifting farther and farther away, he let her figure, her eyes, her whole being suck him in until he was gone. Together they would dance like on their wedding day.

Music would play eternally for them both, letting their bodies become one.

Together their memories would become one.
