"Look at that mommy its a rainbow! No it's two rainbows mommy isn't it buiful!" I squealed in delight as my mom pulled me down the street looking both ways before crossing at the walk way "Oh yes dear it is beautiful, now come on walk a little faster dearie, or would you rather me carry you?" mom said in a rush if words
"Mom what's wrong?" asked Aaron as he bent down picking me up
"Nothing dear, we just, we need to get away from here hurry along now once we get to the car we can rest a bit"
She huffed sounding out of breath and panicked her answer wasn't enough to put Aaron at ease it was like he already knew what she was running from.
I lay my head on Aaron's shoulder snuggling into the crook of his neck so I could see behind us not fully understanding any off what was happening but enjoying the breeze and smell of rain in the air that had yet to fall.
"How many years are you again today bruba?" I asked. "I'm 14 today and your 4, it's both of our birthdays silly not just mine" he said with a smile that was apparent in his voice
"Yeah but I know how old I am silly" I giggled as I raised up to look him in the eyes
"Oh really smarty pants!" he smiled and tickled me
"St-stop that" I giggled while he smiled which made his brown eyes light up
"Stop what? I wasn't doing anything" he said forging innocence with this said
I decided to lay my head back down on his shoulder since we where getting closer to the car and the rainbows where back behind us but as I looked for the twin rainbows my eyes caught something else something just as magical but not in the same way at all
