Chapter 1:
-Rain P.O.V-
Snow fell lightly as my body shivered. A light blanket was tossed over me by Adam. I nodded softly and stared at the computer 3:45AM. Alex was asleep at his desk while Adam was focused on his computer. Dead body on waterway street. Figures that place is crawling with murder. I sighed softly to myself and laid my head on the desk. Watching each snowflake part from one another. I lifted up my head softly and looked over at Michael who was asleep like Alex. I looked down at the blanket and went into deep thought. A girl i remember. Kidnapped 16 years ago. I raised an eyebrow. A name never came to mind. I laid my head back down and closed my eyes slowly.
-The next morning-
"SHE FAILED TO SAVE MY DAUGHTER". A women yelled at Michael. "Lady calm down please". I heard Adam say. I opened my eyes slowly and rubbed then. "W-what's going on". I said stretching. "YOU MONSTER". The lady yelled pointing at me. I squeaked and backed away. "THIS MURDER KEEPS SENDING ME NOTES. YOU WATCH MY DAUGHTER GET KIDNAPPED". The lady yelled at me. "HEY STOP YELLING". I said standing up as i slammed my hand on the table. The lady nodded and looked at me
"Rebecca jones. My daughter. Rain....You watched it happen. 16 years ago". She said as my eyes widened. "Rebecca jones". I said searching the name up on the computer. A picture popped up of a tan girl with hazel eyes and black hair. I smiled to myself then up at Michael standing at my desk. "Ring a bell". He said as i nodded softly. "Why didn't you save her...YOU STOOD RIGHT THERE". The lady yelled as she scratched my face. I whimpered as blood slowly dripped down. "I was 4 what was i suppose to do". I said clutching my fist. "Alex get her to interrogation room". Michael said shoving Ms. Jones near Alex. "Adam make sure rain doesn't leave". Michael said walking off to the interrogation room. "That's cold. I have a right to leave". I said walking away as Michael pushed me slightly back. "No no stay. Alex and i got this". Michael said as i grunted nodding. I sat down in my chair and began to search up her name. I looked at news videos from 16 years ago reporting Rebecca missing.
-4 hours later-
"Adam what information do you have on the kidnap". Michael said looking atAdam. "Rebecca was kidnapped at a park. Rain and her together. As Rain turned around Rebecca was kidnapped". Adam said as i leaned over the edge of the steps. "I chased after the van". I said looking at Michael. He looked at me and grunted softly....
