As things got less blurred
As her head drifted above the water and she gasped for air, as she saw the bright blue sky and the sun reflect the water she noticed something new, she has became a surviver she had fought for the oxygen fielding through her lungs, the sun beaming on her face she had saved her own soul.This was only the start of her recovery, to become her same old self again she would need fix the cracks in her broken mind, she would have to convince herself that she belonged here, the harsh reality is that she was too fragile for this earth, too breakable, too weak so she took her old self and made herself someone new. someone who could deal with pain and loss and suffering, but to become that person she altered almost her whole self, she made herself a stone hard bitch who couldn't be hurt by anyone. That girl went from one extreme to the other, she needed to find the balance In between
as time passed it got easier to block out pain yet still feel her feelings, it got easier to see the happier moments and the sunnier days. I'm not going to lie it took a lot of effort it took a lot of faking a smile and pretending she wasn't in pain but then one day She wasn't faking anymore one day She was genuinely happy for the first time in forever and that's when she knew... She belonged there too.
