I wasn't the type to get into trouble. I was never the naughty one. I'd been through twelve of my academic years with a clear report card, I bump into one guy and there's a sudden dramatic change in events.

By now I'd daydreamed my way through three other classes and it was lunchtime. I headed for the tree in front of the English block where me and my friends met every day to go for lunch.

'We still on for Morrisons then?' I shouted as my friends were coming up the path.

'I was thinking, we haven't been to that new bakery everyone's been banging on about, why don't we give it a try?' One of my friends responded. I wasn't sure about this, changing our whole lunchtime routine, why today?

'Nahh, I think we should stick with Morrisons.' I said. 'It's like our tradition, we've been going to Morrisons since we started year 7, why would we change that now? Plus we would have to go in the complete opposite direction to the one we usually go in.'

'Ok, why don't we try it today and if we don't like it we'll go back to Morrisons tomorrow?'

'Fine. Whatever' I agreed but I wasn't sure about this new place. Why were all my friends so keen to go there? Were the sausage rolls better there than Morrisons or something?

It took us double the time to get there compared to Morrisons.

'Why were you late for school this morning?'

'Yeah, what were you doing?'

'What happened to you?' My friends started questioning me on my late arrival to school that morning. I didn't know what to say. I had to think of something and I had to do it quick.

'I-I-I' I stuttered 'erm...I overlaid.'

'Oh come on, you have that alarm of yours go off every morning. Stop telling fibs.'

'It's broken, I asked my dad to fix it but he was too busy with work stuff.'

'Right ok, well when you want to tell us the real reason just speak up yeah?'

I couldn't tell if they'd fallen out with me or not but I don't blame them. I was lying to them about this morning but I wanted him to myself, I didn't want them to steal him from me because I knew they would if I told them. It was my little dream, they'd done the whole boyfriend thing they didn't need know about this.

So that was it, I decided I was going to keep everything to myself.
