~Kuroko's POV~
Yesterday was in one word.. Horrible. (Y/N) wasn't there to talk with me like we usually do at school with her brightened dynamic attitude that brightened my day. No, Sakurai-kun took her with him some where, alone most likely... It makes me burn with envy to think about (Y/N)'s first being taken with someone other than me, it really does. I know it shouldn't and that she already has a significant other but... It still hurts... So of course yesterday I was extremely uncomfortable and angry with the world, angry with (Y/N) and Sakurai-kun, and angry with myself. I should be happy to see (Y/N) happy with someone but these horrible selfish desires take over. I'm awoken from my thoughts by the angelic voice belonging to (Y/N) trying to get my attention by tapping me on the shoulder asking
If I'm ok. I look up slightly, at this time (Y/N) and I are walking to our period before lunch which is math (I'm sorry if your period before lunch isn't math but I'm just making it for now for the plot of the story ( ' ▽ ' )ﾉ) Kagami-kun became sick just last night claiming he was "infected by Ahomine" which I just think he once again took too long of a shower. I'm a little relieved, sometimes him and (Y/N) leave me out of the conversations arguing a little, and I'd hate to interrupt and come across rude, so to have (Y/N)'s attention today is amazing. Once again brought out of my thoughts by (Y/N) saying "Hey, I'm sorry about yesterday just kinda leaving you there with the team and Momoi-san. I hope you're not still mad are you?" A kind of fearful and nervous expression crosses her beautiful face, making me smile gently and lightly, oh (Y/N), you know I couldn't stay mad at you for too long, it's mentally impossible.
"No (Y/N), of course I'm not mad at you." I simply say and see (Y/N)'s face turn a little pink with a surprised look. Was my smile weird? Is that why she's looking at me confused? "(Y/N-" "You smiled! Kuroko Tetsuya you have smiled!" I pause soaking in her words, has she not seen me smile? "I mean I've seen you smile but.. That smile was very.. Heart warming... It may just be my imagination for not realizing how gentle it is before but to get that face out of the stoic you, is amazing!" She jumped with each word, reminding me of a little child excited to go to a carnival, completely adorable. We arrive in the classroom and she kind of skips to her seat happily and the teacher walks in and starts to give the lesson. I replay her words in mind "It may just be my imagination for not realizing how gentle it is before" does that mean she sees me as a possible suitor? Or that she's possibly thinking of me now? Well.. That's a step at least I think with a ghost smile upon my lips.
The teacher then says "Partner up with someone to finish problems 1-10, you may move around during this time, choose your partners wisely." And everyone scrambles to get to their buddies, while (Y/N) arrives at my desk in front of me looking at me happily with a bit of embarrassment. "Wanna be partners? I'm not the best at math ya know." She said rubbing her neck sheepishly. I nod and motion for her to sit in the desk next to me. She gave a little happy yelp as she sat down setting her stuff down at the desk next to mine.
~(Y/N)'S POV~
I sat down and got out a piece of blank paper so we can write down the problems and answers as we go along. It's a good thing I chose to pick Tetsuya as my partner, he's actually pretty good at math, or at least better than me when I need help with my math homework (once again sorry if you actually are good at math, just needed for the plot of the story ( ' ▽ ' )ﾉ) so ya I kinda feel bad for rejecting the other kids who invited me to join them but, also Tetsuya is one of my close friends so I can't just leave him out like that, especially since today Bakagami is out sick today because of "Ahomineitis" who usually pairs up with Tetsuya while I pair up with whoever asks really. "Ok let's see.. Problem #1 What is the x-intercept of y=5x+20? ?" I recite to myself looking at the problem then after 2 minutes of looking at it confused, I sigh of frustration and defeat "I have no idea" leaning back in my chair, then surprised by a tap on my shoulder from none other than Tetsuya. "(Y/N) it's quite simple you're but giving up too soon, you have to look at it another way." He stated, confused I unconsciously scooted closer to him trying to figure out what to do on the problem while he explained.
"Do you get it now (Y-" He then suddenly turned his head over to look at me and stopped mid sentence only to realize we're only centimeters away from each other's face, which causes both of our faces to flush red. Feeling his face radiating off of his face as well, I nervously jerk back trying to fan myself due to the heat "M-man has it got hot in here or is it just me? Ha ha.." That was super surprising! I didn't know I leaned in THAT much to where we weren't even a foot away from each other! My gosh, I'm so embarrassed.. I began covering my face hoping the heat of my face cools down. Why am I blushing to darn much?!? Why am I so embarrassed?! Surely I've been this close to Tetsuya before right? I mean we were practically inseparable in middle school so what... Is happening? Why is my heart beating so fast? Why... I'm dating Sakurai-kun, and my heart only belongs to him!... Right?
~Kuroko's POV~
I couldn't believe our faces were that close, feeling the heat radiate off of her face. I was little disappointed when she jerked back after 5 seconds of staring and turning flush red, but why was she so embarrassed? And red? Surely she and I have been closer than this before in Teiko, so why now?... My mind then flashes to earlier today "it may just be my imagination for not realizing how gentle it is before"... Is she perhaps starting to... No that's impossible, I have already been turned down not once but twice, but her actions are very different from usual.. I take a glance over to (Y/N) who is covering her face with her hands, heat still radiating off of her immensely. My expression softens at the sight of her blushing this much for me.. I decide to lean in a bit which catches her attention and with our faces this close I was about to lean in just a little more but Just then, the bell rang signaling that it's time for lunch. She then jerks out of her seat standing up...
So close...
~Authors Note~
I decided since Ryo kinda got his own little chapter to himself I thought Kuroko might as well get his own little chapter of himself with reader-chan as well! ( ' ▽ ' )ﾉ all is fair kind of because this one was more longer but still! This chapter is kind of like the turning point I guess? Cause now Reader-chan is getting more conscious of Kuroko so from the start from here maybe something will happen? I think I'll start putting more Kuroko x Reader in here from now on since most of the story up until maybe the last chapter have been about Ryo mainly so for those people who wanted more Kuroko x Reader I'm hoping to add them so it's kind of beneficial! No, Reader-chan will not be cheating on Ryo (because that would break my heart to write) but also because I just hate cheaters but there will be very flirty scenes with Kuroko so see ya next update! ( ' ▽ ' )ﾉ
