Will POV.
"Will baby." My mom's soft voice wrapped around my head.
Looking up from my colouring I answered with a, "Yes Mama?"
She held her arms out, indicating she wanted a hug.
Jumping up, I gave her as big as a hug a 6 year old could.
I noticed the lighter in her hand.
She had huge pupils and the bad breath that meant she was drinking that stuff again.
That stuff was bad.
It made her do bad things, like lock me in the closet for a whole night.
I slowly inched away from her.
"What is it?" She asked.
I pointed to the lighter.
She flicked it on.
I watched the orange light dance and twirl.
"Pretty." I sighed.
She nodded.
"Honey,when...this happens please don't blame me." Her voice was choked up.
My eyes widened.
"You have a prophecy to fulfil and if this doesn't happen..." She trailed off.
Then unexpectedly she grabbed my hand.
Slowly, with tears in her eyes, she put the lighter closer and closer to me.
I tried to break out of her grasp.
"Mama, please, don't!" I shrieked as she brought the orange fire to my finger.
"No!" I screamed, trying as hard as I could to get free.
Than the light touched my hand.
The pain was unbearable.
I crumpled into Mama as my hand was set on fire.
The pain travelled all through my body.
Sobbing,I closed my eyes and screamed.
The pain was taking all of my air away.
I opened my eyes.
Fire.
Everywhere.
On me,on the couch,on my crayons,on my colouring book,on the walls.
On mama.
She walked towards me,her skin peeling and charring.
I tried to scream, but I had no air to.
Mama whispered, "I love you."
Then everything went black.
