"Mmmm" Marissa groans out as she tries to take shelter under the comforter.
"Five more minutes is all I need.." she whines at the unrelenting alarm clock.
Without ears to hear her pleads for peace and quiet, it rings on for another minute.
"OKAY! I get it, I'm getting up!" she hits the snooze button and pulls herself out of bed. Cursing all the while.
"You know I hate yelling at you first thing in the morning, but when all you do is nag, I feel like I have no other option but to push your buttons. Maybe if you were a little more understanding you could see where I'm coming from." she added as she walked through the doorway and into the master bathroom, to turn on the shower.

Suddenly she hears footsteps quickly proceeding up the stairs.
Grabbing the nearest thing ( a small geode) and pulling her arm back ready to launch it at the intruder.
All of a sudden the door swings open and she throws the small rock which makes contact with the head of whomever was coming through the door.

"Ouch!" they exclaimed.
She was instantly filled with regret when she realized she had just given her fiancé a run for his life.

"Oh my goodness it actually made contact!" Marissa said as she shakily stumbled over to her fiancé.
He was about to scold her but when he looked up he realized she was already failing at holding back tears.
"Rissy it's okay!" Apollo said trying to sooth her.
"No it's not, I almost killed you!" Marissa said as she turned her back to him, and began to walk out of the room to go get some ice. Marissa didn't even get a full step away before Apollo pulled her back to him.
"I'm okay. Alright" he chuckled a little before he rested his chin on top of her head. She just hung her head wiping away the tears and working to hold back sobs.
They stood like that until she calmed down.

"I brought us some bagels and coffee." Apollo said holding up a paper bag that said 'grinders'.
"I don't have an appetite anymore." Marissa said.
"Well it's right here if you change your mind." Apollo said as he sat the bag on the nightstand.

"So...who was you yelling at before, I came in?" Apollo asked her.
With the threat of tears returning with one more word, she pointed over to the clock on the nightstand simultaneously it started going off again this time it was louder.
At that Marissa had enough and dropped to her knees and began to sob.
" I'm not mentally prepared for a today to start. Can't we just skip it and go into a tonight?" she asked.
"Rissy...you're too old to act like this." Apollo reminded her.
Marissa stood up and went back into the bathroom to take a shower.

She stepped in to the cascading warmth, and soon after let all her worries and stress wash away down the drain.
She closed her eyes and found a pair of light blue cat eyes, that resembled a far off galaxy, staring back at her. She found comfort in them. They seemed so....familiar.

After Marissa finished getting dressed, she walked out to see Apollo standing at the window that stretched from one wall to the other.
She took him in. His disappointed face, the sadness in his eyes as he looked out the window. She felt as though he would turn around and say
"This planet is an example of reaching for something you know you'll never obtain, but we don't know any better than to keep on trying...so in the end our failure will be our success, but at the same time the only way we know how to succeed is by failing." this saddened her a little.

When he finally turned around and seen her gazing at him, his face lit up as though he found all the answers he needed in her. That made her day all the better knowing she was able to temporarily erase all the doubts and nay says that were occupying his mind.

" Are you ready to go and adult?" Apollo asked her.
"Yes, but only for a little while." she smiled at him as she walked over, leaned up on to her tiptoes and gave him a kiss.
"Lets go." he said as he grabbed his house key, and her jacket.
"I'll see you tonight." Marissa said, before getting on her bike to head down town to her meeting.....
