Life has always been a struggle for Elli Smith, when she turned 18 her life seemed to turn completely upside down. Growing up with an alcoholic father Elli got called names such as "boozers girl" and other ignorant things. This didn't affect Elli until her first year of high school.
When Elli became a freshman they ran low on money and she had to wear hand-me downs from her older sister. With Elli's long legs this often became an issue. At the age 15 she was already 5'11".
With her fathers problems quickly escalating Elli had to leave Ohio and take up residence in Arizona with her Grandma Smith.
