A mother once said to her daughter,
"Girl,don't you know you're beautiful?"
She replied, "I guess so, to be darkskinned..."
Her mom began crying..
Everyone is different,
for a reason.
God created us in different shades, sizes and faces.
Not so we could debate daily about being or looking better than each other.
Beauty does not mean you have to have big butt, or long hair and a flat stomach...
Beautiful is way more extensive than that.
Beauty does not discriminate by any means.
Just because that guy thought you were too skinny and the other thought you were ugly, doesn't make you any less beautiful.
If everyone looked the same, that would make variety of anything else pointless.
Because we look the same, might as well prefer the same things right? NO, WRONG!
In the black community, the little darkskin girl is often belittled by males.
Because too dark is not "winning"
and in the white community too light means your pale and need a tan.
Beautiful comes in many shades.
and who ever challenges that statement, doesn't know the true meaning of beauty if it fell from the sky and landed on their nose.
Let's not make judgements to those darker than the brown bag and thicker than the average Jo-ANNA For Beautiful comes in many shades...
The daughter sat there in confusion until the mother finally said "Your skin is enriched with energy and natures beautiful shine, you are the source of light for someone in desperate need of it. Don't you ever believe beautiful comes in a certain silhouette..." and the girl smiled.
