Hey guys! This is my third book and I'm not completely sure how it will go, so let's see where it ends. I hope you like it! DO NOT PLAGIARIZE. Go on and start reading!
I walked into the abandoned field, the rain drops, like bullets, wetting my blond hair. I ran a hand through my very drenched hair, hoping it wouldn't be to frizzy afterwards, but this would be worth it. I kept walking through the mud, my shoes making squishing sounds as I pushed away the long, dried, grass out of my way. I approached the willow tree beside the lake in the distance, it's memories effectively warming me up. I made my way to the trunk of the tree and felt around before my fingers fell upon a familiar carving, only five years old. The carving was that of a heart with 'M+A' carved in the middle. A soft smile made it's way onto my face before my legs gave out and I was sitting on the surprisingly dry dirt. I pushed my forehead forward and lay it onto the trunk of the tree. My hair drew like curtains on a stage and covered my tear stricken face. I wanted to feel the warmth again; I needed to hear my name again, they way it was meant to be said.
"I'm sorry, baby girl" I said in a low whisper, "I'm sorry mommy couldn't help you"
I looked up to the large tree, it's soft green willows shielding me. A leaf fell from the willow and landed beside me. I pulled it into my palms and brought it to my heart. It was my strength; my memories. I took a deep breath and said, "You have a baby brother. His names Jason." I sniffled and wiped my tears, "He was born a month ago, on your birthday. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought you were connected, like you would have known he was coming. I guess God loved you enough to let you know, because you are your name, Angel. I saw you. You asked me for a brother and said you would watch over him. It was because of you I had the strength to carry on. Thank you, baby girl.
He couldn't come today but I will bring him here. We will play here, just like I would have done with you. The three of us, your father, Jason and I will always be here for you. We love you." I felt more tears glazing my eyes, but I pushed the tears away. "His name means healer," I looked up at the willow, this time letting the tears fall, "He healed me after you died baby girl. He gave me something to live for." I smiled as I brought my self to the trees, pressing myself to the tree in a hug. In a low whisper I said, "I hope you know you'll always be my baby girl, no matter where you are. Watch over him, baby."
I pulled my self from the tree and looked at the sky. The pitter-patter of the rain seized, and the sun pulled out behind the clouds. The rays of sun light beamed on me and I felt warmth. I smiled and walked away, knowing my baby will protected not only by God.
So there you go! I like it. What do you think? I kept it a little smaller then usual because short and simple is nice. Anyway, like, vote, comment, as always!
