"Hey, Brittany, do you know where Lili went?" Selena questioned. She marched up to Brittany, as if she owed the place. Brittany's eyes widened.

"Oh, you mean Lydia? Yeah, she's in her backyard. Don't go looking for her. She's busy." replied Brittany, trying to stall, but Selena was already walking in the direction of Lydia's house. Too late. Brittany flew off from behind Selena's back. Literally flew, launching off the ground and soaring into the sky. Selena took no notice.

When Selena arrived, she didn't see Lydia anywhere. Then, she noticed something she hadn't noticed before.

"I never noticed that pathway here," she said to no one in particular. Puzzled, she decided to follow it. It was long and winding, surrounded by trees, and after a little while, she found her friend in the middle of a circle, also surrounded by trees- raising her arms in the air for no apparent reason.

"Um, Lili, what the heck are you doing?'

"I could ask you the same- What are you doing here? And my name is not Lili."

"Lili, I asked you first-----"

"Were you not just listening?" Lydia finally turned towards Selena, eyes closed. "I just told you." Now Lydia was kneeling with one knee on the ground. Her body turned black until you couldn't see her features anymore. Then a glowing green aura surronded her. Then she opened her eyes. They were a blank, bright, glowing green. The rocks around her began to get the same green aura. Some rocks even floated up in the air.

"My name is Terra of the Grove- and you are not welcome here!" Lydia's body turned back to its normal color-- but she had transformed. Her hair had grown much, much longer, and there was a golden streak in her bangs. Instead of the purple shirt and denim shorts she was originally wearing, Lydia --or Terra-- was now wearing a sleeveless green denim jacket, a green tank top that had brown branches patterned all over it, her hands wore green fingerless gloves and her right arm had a vine tattooed on it, and she wore tan cargo pants with leaves patterned on the pockets that were neatly tucked into black hiking boots. The boulder she was kneeling on was now lifting her up into the air. Her left arm kept her steady on the boulder, and her right arm was extended and her hand was clenched in a fist, glowing the same green aura. She was levitating the rocks. She was not Lydia or Lili any more--- she was Terra.

"Who--what are you?!" Selena was utterly shocked. Lydia had never done this before! What had happened? Was she going crazy-- or was Lydia?

"I see you've met Terra," said a voice from behind her. Another freak climbed down out of a tree. This time, the girl wore a dress made of leaves, a quiver was strapped to her back, but she had most unusual features-- she had lizard arms and chicken legs. Selena evidently didn't see her.

"Um, behind you? Where you aren't looking?" the girl emphasized.

"Ahhh!" Selena jumped seven inches in the air, she was so surprised. "Who--what are you?!"

"My name is NONAME. Come with me." And with that, NONAME took Selena up in her arms, and they traveled through the treetops.

"I believe you two have not properly met. But in order to do that, I must take you back on the scene." Then NONAME transformed into something else- this time she looked a little more "normal." She now had long, straight, black hair that hung over her right eye, she wore lots of mascara and black lipstick, she wore a silver tank-top, a grey-and-black plaid skirt which had an old-fashioned silver stopwatch and a silver and black combination lock hanging from its beltloops, and she wore long, black boots that were taller than her knees and had four-inch thick platforms on the soles. Then she pressed a button on her stopwatch and they went back in time to where Terra was still raging on the levitating boulder. Selena didn't know what had happened-- one moment she was in a treehouse in the middle of nowhere, and now she was back in front of the raving monster that used to be her "friend." So she did the only logical thing she could think of-- she ran in the opposite direction.

"I see you've met NONAME," came another new voice from above her. Another girl came down from above-- she was flying. This girl, like the others, had long, brown hair, except hers was straight instead of wavy. It swept directly over the girl's left eye, and locks of hair came down in front of her ears and hung over the front of her body. She wore a long, flowing, deep purple cape that was bound at her chest by a silver hexagon. She wore a hot pink tube-top and shorts that were rimmed with silver. Her belt was a ribbon the same color as her cape, also bound by a silver hexagon. Her arms bore armor fashioned in the same pink-and-silver style as her top and shorts, one short piece of armor on each of her upper arms, and a longer piece of armor on each of er wrists- also bearing silver hexagons. She wore the same armor on her upper legs, and wore knee-high pink boots rimmed with siver as well. Her arms were folded and her gray eyes pierced Selena's, looking very intimidating in her position- flying two feet in the air in front of her. Selena screamed and ran in the opposite direction again.

"I see you've met Hexa," said a third unfamiliar voice. She was greeted by yet another freak- this time, she was the scariest. Her head was tilted slightly to one side, and she had four different types of hair- one side was electrically yellow and wavy, her bangs were straight, deep black with a red streak, the other side of her hair was a purple-ish-black and was curly, but it was the top of her head that scared Selena the most-- it was a bright reddish-yellowish-orange and it was literally on fire. Selena screamed even louder and now, not knowing what to do, crouched down in fear.

Then she noticed NONAME-- the first one she met-- siting on a tree branch above her. She calmly said,

"You see, we are the I.O.s-- that stands for InsideOutsiders. I wouldn't blame you if you've never heard of us before. Actually, nobody has until now."

What the heck is going on?!  Selena thought, completely puzzled and shocked.

"You're probably wondering what the heck is going on," NONAME replied, seeming to have just read her mind.

Okay, this was getting weird.
