*Alarm rings*
Ugh!! Monday again. New day but the same cycle of life. Well currently I'm stuck with it. Dragging my unwilling body by my compelled brain, I get out of my 'oh so comfortable' bed. I head to the bathroom for morning business.
In the mirror I see myself. Duh! A girl with short brown hair and blue eyes, with a bored expression on her face which just displays her excitement. I take a long shower get ready and head downstairs for breakfast.
Today is the first day of my school. Technically the first day of the new academic year. Although everyone are usually excited for the first days I'm just bored about the idea of waking up early for the next whole week and stuff like that. I have walked through those same halls practically as long as I remember and there nothing there that excites me anymore.
I don't hate school though, I have my three best friends who guarantee an amazing time always. But I don't love it either, because there are these certain 'things' about me in school, and these 'things' always end up in the conversations of
the students there a couple of times when they are engrossed in bitching.
I enter the kitchen, where Mother greets me "Good morning Eleanor, its first day of school! How exciting, Are you prepared!!" She's so enthusiastic. Sigh. "Ya mom, ready to face hell," I reply with a bright sarcastic smile. She says "Well have a great time and all the best making new friends with that attitude."
Smiling cheekily I say "Sorry mom" I sit at the dining table and help myself with some pancakes. I get up and remove the Nutella out of the cabinet and slather some of it on them. While I'm putting the thick blanket of gooey goodness, dad walks in and grimaced and says "Easy with that stuff there". I say "The more the merrier it makes me." Rolling his eyes dad takes a seat at the table and puts his toast in. Dad then starts lecturing about how important this year is, and stuff. I hardly pay any attention and finish up. I pick up my backpack and leave saying my Goodbyes.
I can feel the nice cool breeze as I step out of the house. It's spring now. Ahh I like this weather. I walk leisurely towards school. On the way to school comes my best friend Sydney's house. We both go to school together. When i reach Sydney's place I call her and I hear her loud footsteps as she runs towards the door while shouting "Bye mom!" while her mother was telling her something. The front door flings open and Sydney leaps out with a sandwich in her mouth and her backpack strap in her hand .She lands alright, but her backpack swings and its contents come out as she hadn't zipped it up before leaving. Idiot. Removing her sandwich from her mouth after a mega bite she says "Yaw homie, wazzup! Ready to bounce?!" making big yo gestures with her hands. "Yo! The sky, and pick up your stuff, we need to leave.". "Ya ya that wasn't a well planned entry" I picked up her notebook and gave it to her, she stuffed or back in her bag.
Meet Sydney Anderson, my best friend. She is a part of our 4 member best friends squad, including me, her, Anna, and Bella. She is funny, talkative and beyond weird, but she the bestest friend ever. We have been best friends since kindergarten and play together in the basketball team. She is about an centimeter taller than me, has blonde curly hair, and dark amber eyes. She wears glasses and has her hair always tied in a ponytail. She wears fine clothes but doesn't put much thought into it. She calls herself a boy repellent. I don't exactly know what's in her that's like that. Just that she isn't into 'casual' dating at all. Her strange vibe has caused her to never be asked out by a dude. I don't know how that were the case as she's a real looker. Well she's amazing and is not a Androphobic, she has guy friends here and there.
Well the way to school is now only a few minutes and we both walk while talking about school. Sydney continuously chomping on her sandwich.
"School's for fools, why are we going there."
"I'm going because I need it to be a doctor, but you going, cos that's you."
"Oh ya ya ya ya" Sydney said sarcastically. "Thanks for the reality check." I laugh and then ask her if we should meet coach today. "Yup, we need to find out the practice schedules and the tournaments this year..." We both talk a little more about basketball and how coach's bald head looks brighter than our future, and we reach school.
