{Y/n's Point or View}
I woke up in my bedroom, it was around 7 am. WAIT, I'M GOING TO BE LATE! I rushed to brush my h/c hair and brush my teeth, I got dressed quickly, an old pair or skinny jeans and a f/c long sleeve shirt, then told Mom I was leaving. She wasted 20 minutes( going on about me leaving her, a lot of tears involved) so by then, it was around 8:53 am, I only had 7 minutes to be there. Professor Oak hes a pretty nice guy but if I were late, oh boy. Dad had known Professor Oak for research reasons, they worked together and seemed to get along well, Professor Oak had known me ever since I was a child. Me and him were close ever since then. I got there and knocked on the lab door, he opened the door and he pulled me into a hug. "Hello Y/n, you're here just in time!" He said. "Well I'd hope so, you did ask me to come early to help you set-up." I replied returning the hug. "Yes, I did. Now please come inside, I must go collect the Pokémon for the new trainers." He released me and grabbed his bag, I began setup for everyone.
[Timeskip brought to you by Pikachu. "Pika Pi?"~Pikachu]
Professor Oak returned with a Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur and a Squirtle. "Isn't Pikachu unstable?" I asked putting up the last Pokéball. "Yes, I dont plan on giving it to anyone. It's not really a human type." He replied, setting all four Pokéballs on the small, round table. "Will Gary be there?" I asked. I really didn't like Gary, but for Professor Oak I behaved, Gary was related to him after all. The reason I didn't like him, he always hit on me. Professor Oak always acted as if Gary didn't do it though. "Yes, he will. The list of people coming are Gary, Ash..." I dozed off, it was a looooong list. "Y/n? Y/n!" He shook me. "Yea?" I replied shaking my head, I usually dont get up early. "Are you okay?" He asked worried. "Yea, I'm fine, just a little sleepy. That's all." I walked outside and he followed. The sun was coming up slowly and in the faint distance I herd a bird call out.
[Sry but another timeskip. But, I'm just lazy. ;-; ]
Gary had already came by (I hated every minute) and another Boy and then a Girl. She wanted a Pokémon so bad, how could Professor Oak say no. Answer, he doesn't have the will. "Where is he?" Professor Oak seemed worried. "Who?" I replied. "Ash. Ash Ketchum. Hes late, or either not coming." Professor Oak said. "Oh." I looked out the lab window only to see Gary flaunting, as usual, that he got a Pokémon. In the distance, I could see a kid in his pajamas, running as fast as he could. "Is that him?" I asked an pointed out the window to the kid. "Yes, I guess he came after all." Professor Oak looked out the window and put all the Pokéballs back where they had been. I herd them talking outside, Gary and 'Ash', as so I herd Professor Oak say. Gary was so rude to him. I felt bad for the kid, and I didn't even know him! Soon Gary left and Ash stood outside, Professor Oak went outside to greet him. He and Ash came in and Ash really didn't seem to notice me. "And this is Y/n L/n." Professor Oak pointed to me. "Hi, I'm Ash. Ask Ketchum." He looked at me with a wide smile, I smiled back. "Y/n, Y/n L/n. Nice to meet you." I replied. "You to, now Professor..." He went on talking to Professor Oak, his voice was calm and soothing. I watched as he picked all of the Pokéballs, but they'd all been taken. "What about Pikachu?" I tugged at Professor Oaks sleeve. "I dont know, Y/n. It's unstable." Professor Oak lifted the tale to reveal the hidden Pokéball. "As long as I get a Pokémon, I'm okay with whatever." Ash butted in, he seemed a little to overly exited about this. "Well, Pikachu is a Electric Mouse Pokémon...." Professor Oak went on about Pikachu's information. After the speech Oak gave Ash, Ash reached for the Pokéball and Pikachu came out onto the table. "Be careful Ash, this Pikachu isn't exactly a people Pokémon." Oak said as Ash reached for Pikachu and hugged him tightly. The Pokémon zapped him, and his black hair flew all over the place. He had singes all over his body and clothes. "Are you okay?!" I asked. "Just...Peachy.." He managed to squeak. Oak handed him some Pokéballs and a Pokédex. But Pikachu was not ready to go without a fight, he shocked both of them, two birds with one stone. "Good Luck Ash!" Professor Oak said as Ash walked outside. "You too Professor, and I hope to see you again Y/n." He waved with that same smile again, it was kinda cute. "Me to Ash! Good Luck!" I yelled smiling and waving like an idiot. "Y/n?" Professor Oak called and I replied with a Yes. "You didn't think you were just going to leave without a Pokémon, did you?" He handed me a Pokéball, I almost died on the spot. "Thank you so much!" I pulled him into a hug, he was taller than me. Like Ash, Gary and typically everyone else I knew, so I kinda hugged his waist. "You're Welcome, Y/n and Good Luck!" Professor Oak patted my head then waved as I ran to my house to collect my things and see what Pokémon he saved for me. I turned and yelled back, "Thanks again, and I'm going to need it!" With that I was racing my own shadow all the way home to pack up and start my journey.
