Locked Away...

Buried deep down, lies my heart

Devoid of feeling,

Devoid of it all.

In a mysterious chest

It rests, peacefully but shattered.

All of the pieces, scattered.

Careless, I was

When I handed it over to you

Thought you'd keep it safe

Only to find out

You'd crush it, out of the blue.

Like a piece of paper, crumpled

You threw it away.

After all, you can always start anew

Leaving me hanging, halfway.

Now, I'm left, picking up the pieces.

It's tough to understand

So many reasons.

So I decided to lock my heart away

Where no can find it again.

No one can break it

And cause me more pain.
