Laughter.

That's all I can hear.

Children's laughter coming from the door down the hallway.

It's closed, made out of oak. But I can see the light coming from it.

The lights are flashing. like the kids inside are having the time of their life's.

The empty hallway is dark. Cold. Almost like all the happiness has been sucked out of it, and went all to the door with the children.

I'm standing at the other end of the hall. Facing the oak door. There's 3 other doors in the hallway. All closed and appear to be locked.

I know I need to get to the oak door and open it.

But I can't move,

I'm frozen to the floor.

My body not responding to my brains commands to move.

To do something.

But nothing.

Nothing happens.

I'm frozen and I can't do anything about it.

There's an ear piercing scream, and I'm thrown to the floor. My head banging against the wall.

I look up to see a shadow. Like a ghost. It's back is towards me so I can't see their face. But I can tell its a girl because it has long hair.

I feel a pounding ache in my head, and I lift my hand up to my forehead.

I look down at my hand and there's a red substance.

Blood.

My blood.

The ghost girl sits down with me and looks to the oak door. I look along with her and see it has opened. I can see the outside. Its filled with trees and two little children running around, laughing, smiling. They look familiar but I don't know who they are.

The ghost girl turns to me, but I can't see her face. Its blurred.

I start to fall.

I can't concentrate.

I'm falling.

But before I fall completely, I hear her whisper something.

"I Promise."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up drenched in sweat and out of breath. Sheets sticking to me and hair a mess.
Americas next top model? I think so.
It was another nightmare. I was used to it by now. I would have the same recurring nightmare almost every night. I never got to finish it because I would always wake up, just before I saw her face.
I don't know who she is.
But somehow she seems familiar.
I looked to my left to check the time on my phone. 8:37am
My alarm hadn't even gone off yet. I got out of bed and -
No shit too quick. I got up too quick. I'm dizzy okay wow and now I'm failing to the floor.
That's just great Alex, just great.
Once I got myself up off the floor and partly thinking properly, I walked into the bathroom and did my normal morning routine. Shower, brush my hair, brush my teeth yada yada yada.
When I went back into my room I almost fell back on my ass again when I saw Andy sitting on my bed eating a plate of bacon and eggs.
"Jesus Andy just give me a heart attack why not!"
