I redo my makeup thats super smudged from crying and run a brush through my hair. I grab my backpack and walk downstairs to go meet my friends for lunch. I'm almost out the door when I see a car drive up, my moms car. I run up the stairs just far enought that she can't see me but I can still see her. When she walks in the door a strange man follows her. The sit down at the table and start eating. They talk about work and how each others day was. Meanwhile I was sitting on the steps waiting for a chance to make a mad dash for the door.
I feel a little tickle in my nose. Oh no. Don't sneeze, don't sneeze. Joy don't you dare sneeze. I say to my self. I run up the stairs to my room and shut the door. Ahhhhh.....Ahhhhh.... Ahhhhhhhhhhh.......Ahhhhhchooooooooo! I sneeze so loud I swear they heard me. After a few minutes when no one comes I go back to my place on the steps.
When I see them again they are kissing, not a friendly see you later kiss. A full blown kiss. I stare in silence. I have never seen my mom with any other man than my father. He died in a car crash when I was 11 and she has not been with anyone since.
About 5 minutes later they leave and I run out the door as soon as I'm sure they are gone. I make it to school just in time to make 5th period. I sit down and listen to the teacher drone on and on. Eventually I take out my phone and check Pinterest.
Not all my apps are corrupted, right? Once again I am wrong they even ruined Pinterest for me! My arms go limp and my phone drops to the floor where Mr. Borno convicates it. I see him scroll through and looks at me with concern. Then he makes a hushed call down to the office, sure enough 10 minutes later I'm called down to the office.
Being a snitch is just about the worst thing you can be in school other than a tatle tale. I can't rat anyone out. So I but my best fake smile on my face and walk through the door. When she asks I say it was all a joke, it doesn't bother me, its funny. The was probably the biggest lie I have ever told anyone.
She seemed pretty convinced until she asked how it started and that awesome fake smile slipped off my face and I didn't have a anwser.
She called my mom and sent me to the hall to explain everything to her, me ditching and this "cyberbullying" case.
When my mom picked me up she looked so disipointed and sad that I couldn't face her. We drove all the way home in silence.
