As I lay restless in this bed, several IV's ate up the skin on my arms. I look around slowly only using my eyes. I laid there; I felt these small little plastic bubbles on both of my sides. As I looked I see the IV pole looking like a lit up Christmas tree and a lady standing at it. As I looked at it, I looked at my mom and she smiled slightly at me. I wanted to smile back but something was holding me back. Holding me back from speaking, smiling and moving. I couldn't move my face. A slight move will automatically destruct my life. I thought my heart would insanely give out. So as the day went on, I went in and out of consciousness, just thinking of what would happen if I moved. I started to get terrified, and my hands started to sweat like I dipped my hands in water. I wanted to move so badly to let my mother know I was okay. She just sat there still smiling and then she started to stroke my black hair. "What is happening?" "Why can't I move?" These questions ran throw my head, so fast. Making my heart race like a train. As I started to panic, I heard a soft melody in my head. I don't know if everyone in the room could hear but I could, for sure. I bashed my eyelashes, making sure I was awake to hear it because I couldn't believe it. It was real, and I was hearing this. The melody started to calm me down and my heart beat started to go at a steady normal pace. I closed my eyes still thinking. With my eyes closed, the soft melody made me fall into deep sleep.
