Camila Cabello.
Lauren was frozen in her seat. Why was she here? What could she possibly want?
Lauren adverted her attention away from the corner where Camila was, and quickly began to gather her belongings. As soon as she was ready to get up, she felt a cold hand grab her. Oh no.
"Please, don't go," Camila whispered. Lauren turned around to face the girl. Camila hadn't changed much, but there was a change.
Camila's face was thinner, as well as her body, and her lips were fuller. Her hair was longer, and it seemed to be darker, but Lauren just assumed it's the dark lighting in the cafe. Lauren's eyes grazed down the Cuban's body, and her eyes immediately fell onto Camila's ass.
'Wow, that's nice,' Lauren thought to herself.
Lauren focused her gaze back onto Camila's face, which looked relaxed.
"What do you want?" Lauren forced the words out of her mouth.
"I want to talk to you," Camila said. "Like, I want to apologize and stuff."
"I don't think that will be needed."
Camila just chuckled at Lauren's response, and sat down, pulling the green eyed beauty with her.
"Look, I know I'm probably the last person you want to see right now, but this is something I need to get off my chest. Yes, I know what I did in the past, and I'm also aware that I had no right to do it, but let me explain."
Lauren sat for a few moments, thinking about what Camila had just laid out in front of her. She wasn't sure if this was a good idea, but maybe, just maybe, she's sincere.
"You have two minutes. I have places to be," Lauren said quietly, looking anywhere else but at Camila.
"Okay, that's all I need," Camila responded. "So, I suppose I should start off with whole Dinah situation."
Lauren felt herself internally wince at the mention of Dinah. Camila had no idea Dinah was fighting for her life.
"When I met Nela, he charmed his way into my life, I suppose. He pretty much became my best friend, and I even was to the point where I'd would've called him my brother."
Camila paused and glanced at Lauren, who was staring mindlessly out the cafe window. She cleared her throat, seeming to get Lauren's attention, and then continued.
"Anyway, once he found out I was acquainted with Dinah, he lost his mind. He became a whole new person. That's when he told me to make sure I got Dinah away from you. He wanted her to himself."
"So, you agreed to basically ruin her life?" Lauren scoffed.
"Well, if it wasn't her life, it was mine. He threatened to kill me. Every time I failed to get her away from you, he hit me. I was scared for my life, Lauren. Please understand that."
Camila looked at Lauren, who had a soft expression on her face.
"Okay, continue."
"Alright, well that's when I really had to get her away, so I figured I'd use you. Dinah was your biggest weakness, just like you were hers. So, I took advantage of that. You know what all took place after that. Everything happened so quick, and I never had time to explain myself. I was sent to protective housing, while Nela was locked up."
Lauren sighed, and sat up straight, running her hand through her hair.
"How long will he be there?"
"Well, I was told he'll be released in a few years, but they're moving him away, and he'll be on probation for a long time."
'Dinah probably won't even be alive when he gets out.'
