He woke up, feeling better rested than he thought he would. The thing about time zones was that it was harder to keep up with people, knowing that they might just be starting breakfast, the moment you go to sleep.
Timezones were weird.
Firing up his old, trusty laptop, he hoped that she'd reacted. He was anxious to see the reply. He poured his heart into that message, and it took so much courage to do this, it even took a cat startling him to actually make sure he clicked the send button.
So many emotions ran through him as he opened tumblr, only to be amazed by the amount of asks she had gotten and published.
He was about to scroll past them when his eyes caught the words 'shy anon'
In the end, he ended up scrolling through all the asks she had gotten regarding him confessing to her. It felt so weird to be actually shipped with the one he admired, even though nobody knew who he was.
Apparently, things had gone pretty far, with protective friends sending her asks about curfews and even other anons stepping up, in case he failed to show up. A lot of people sent asks about shipping them, and there was even one that declared they'd be writing fanfiction.
She sure had strange, but amazing followers.
But what caught his eye next, made him very sad. It was an anon, hating on the pictures she posted as reference to the pictures he once mentioned.
It was sad how people felt the need to talk people down, based purely on visual markers. It made him sick, but the fact that she got such cheerful messages made up for a lot.
He was glad she seemed to be doing okay, but at the same time he felt guilty because he was the one that got her in this mess in the first place. Did he upset her? Did he make her uncomfortable? He didn't know.
All that he knew was that he was going to have to hurry up and get dressed, maybe even get some breakfast. But real life was calling and if he didn't get ready in time, he was not going to like the consequences.
He'd message her back later.
