So now they know. I felt much better than before, but the dull figure in the shadows remained in my head.
Now, I'm back at school in line for Social Studies class. My thoughts have me an upset expression.
Heather was in front of me in line. She turned around and noticed my frown.
"Are you okay?" she asked with confusion.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I replied, smiling a bit knowing that my friends always have my back.
The rest of the day was one of those casual days. A couple of things for homework and a group project in Science class.
----------------------------------------------
I arrive home with a heavy backpack. Homework. Yuck.
I grab my phone and play my music. Then, I race to my room, take out my Math textbook and notebook from my bag, and get to work.
After I complete about half of my work, my little sister, Audrey, came into my bedroom.
"You wanna play with me?" she asked me.
"Sorry. I need to finish some things," I replied.
"PLEASEE?" Audrey asked, trying to sound cute.
"Like I said, I need to finish my homework," I said. Audrey left my room without saying a word.
----------------------------------------------
I finish my homework, put my books away, and get ready for bed. As i get ready, I hear my mom walking towards my door.
"Good night, Em," she said to me.
"Good night."
She turns my light off and closes my door. I climb into my bed and stare at the ceiling and say, "Tomorrow's another day."
