Delilah was pouring cereal into a bowl when she heard a knock at the door. 'I'm not expecting anybody. Who could that be' she said to herself. She put the box down on the counter and went to open the door. There stood Cam in a dark t-shirt and blue jeans with combat boots. "What do you want Cam its to early in the morning" she said with a scowl on her face. His eyes show fear and vulnerable but only for a second before it was replaced with a warm look.
"I'm sorry for not showing up. Something had come up in a short amount of time. Let me make it up to you please" his voice hinting that he needed her to forgive him. She sighed "fine I guess that's a good excuse. Come on in and shut the door behind you" she walked back to where her bowl of food was and leaned against the counter and started eating.
Cam came into the kitchen a few seconds later and sat on one of the bar stools. He looked at Delilah and smiled "you have a very lovely home" she shook her head and muttered "it doesn't feel like home" but Cam over heard her and tilted his head in confusion. "What do you mean it doesn't feel like home" he desperately wanted to make it feel like home to her. She shook her head and kept her mouth shut.
Delilah turned around to put her dish in the sink she felt arms around her waist and she jumped a little in surprise. She didn't hear Cam come up behind her. Cam put his chin on top of her head and closed his eyes. She started breathing slowly wondering what the hell he was doing. He tightened his arms, but not enough to hurt her. He wouldn't even dare lay a hand on her. "I'm sorry for prying. It's not my business but I would like it to be" he nuzzled her neck and kissed her shoulder.
"You don't even know me" he wanted to spill everything thing to her about her past life with him and how much he loved her. 'If only you knew' he thought. "I want to get to know you" he said slowly as to not scare her away. It's not her fault she doesn't remember who he is. She stepped out of his arms and hugged herself "why do you want to get to know me" she whispered he realized then that she was insecure about herself.
He tilted her chin up so she would meet his eyes. "Delilah I know we only known each other a couple of days, but you are so intriguing and kind" Cam's eyes never left hers when he said that and she thought she sees a hint of love in his eyes. How can that be they've been friends for less than a week. "I don't think I'm that intriguing" she bit her bottom lip and looked around the kitchen so she wouldn't meet his eyes."Look at me Delilah" when she met his eyes Cam brought his head down and kissed her on the lips. Her eyes closed and she wrapped her arms around his neck and started kissing him back by moving her lips against his. He wrapped his arms around her tiny waist and brought Delilah closer to his chest.
He pulled away and watched her open her eyes. Her eyes widened when she realized she just had her first kiss.
