Prologue #1: Anguis

"Anguis sir, God has asked to see you" a lower angel said. I slithered down from the rock I was sunbathing on and nodded the angel off. Once he was gone I slithered over to my pond made of holy water. I slithered into the pond and appeared in a beautiful white castle. I slithered forward and was confronted by a guard.

"I shall escort you, please follow me" the guard said as he showed me to Gods office.

"Sir Anguis is here" the guard said as he knocked on Gods door.

"Let him in" a deep voice said. The guard opened the door and I slithered in. The guard bowed and closed the door.

"You wanted to see me" I said rising up to look at God in the eyes.

"Yes, there is a group of gods that are revolting and I want you to take a small army and crush them"

"But a small army can't defeat one god let alone multiple"

"Yes I know that that's why I'm sending two large army's to back you up once you engage the enemy"

"I see, I will round up my troops as fast as possible and leave right away" I said. I bowed and left the castle the way I entered. I gathered my troops and left to confront the enemy. As I slithered toward the locating a raven came out of the sky and landed in front of me. I stopped the trooped and slithered closer to the raven.

"What do you want raven?" I asked.

"I came to warn you that your God is lying to you, he plans the let your army get crushed then move the large two army's to take us by surprise" the raven said.

"Why should I believe the enemy"

"You are right not to trust the enemy, but we are not the enemy" the raven said and flew away after. I continued on till I saw the group of gods. I commanded my army to attack and watched as my army was massacred. There was no sign of the two large army's and any reinforcements. I thought back to what the raven said and feared the worst.

'God would never do that, he would never lie to me' I thought as I raced toward the closest patch of water. I took one of my scales and threw it in the water. The water became holy water and I slithered in. I sneaked past the guards just as an angle walked in and closed the door. I pressed my head against Gods door and listened.

"Sir Anguis's army has been wiped out. Leo and Griffin await your command" the angle said.

"Perfect my plan is working just perfectly. After Anguis and his army is wiped out I send in two other army's to finish what's left" God said.

"That is a brilliant plan sir"

"Tell the two army's to attack"

"Yes sir" the angel said. I couldn't control myself. I was trembling and could barely see, every thing was going blurry.  I hastily slithered away from the door and out side.

'How could he lie to me? What did I do? Doesn't he know I'm the god of truth? Does that mean even the holy God lies? Then does truth even exist? What porpoise is there for me to exist if only lies exist?' I could help but ask myself. I felt myself change starting to believe there is only need for a god of lies not truth.

I felt myself growing and my scales changing. I slithered over to a pond of water and looked at myself in the reflection. I was large, very large, my white scales had changed to dark brown and black scales.They had become more like armor that was attached to me then scales. I could feel the position on my tongue and venom in my fangs.

With this newfound power I decided to test it out. I found the Angel that was talking with God and slithered up behind him. I quickly bite him and entered his mind. I was confronted by memories. I looked through his memories and stopped at the resent memory of him talking to God.

' "Sir Anguis's army has been wiped out. Leo and Griffin await your command" he said.

"Perfect my plan is working just perfectly. After Anguis and his army is wiped out I send in two other army's to finish what's left" God said.

"That is a brilliant plan sir"

"You may go rest know, I'll tell someone else to tell them to attack" (Tell the two army's to attack)

"Yes sir" '

I left his mind and slithered away, hiding.

"Ow my head hurts" the Angel said holding his head.

"I guess I should take gods advice and rest" the Angel said walking away holding his head.

'Perfect' I said as I slithered as fast as I could toward the location the supposed enemy is. As I approached I saw the raven, a dragon, tiger, wolf, and fox.

"Who approaches!" The fox yells out.

"I am Anguis and I wish to join you" I said slithering closer.

"What reason do you have to betray God?"

"He lied to me, the god of truth, but now I am the god of lies" I say confidently.

"I see, welcome to the group we call Cecidit Deos"

"Thank you for welcoming me" I said as I slithered up to them. Everyone greeted me and told me their plan.
