"No! Leave me the hell alone!" I screamed, taking small steps backwards. He followed a step forward every time I took one step back. He chuckled and shook his head, pleased that I could not escape. "Please don't hurt me, please don't hurt me, please don't hurt me, please don't-"

"Lacy wake up!" "Lacy!"

I forced my eyes open, and found myself breathing heavily. I looked up and saw my best friend, Leah Summers looking at me with a relieved expression. "Finally," she muttered. She knew it was a nightmare and I've been having similar nightmares and it was all her fault. A week ago she forced me to watch a stupid scary movie which I didn't want to, but no choice, I had to. I sat upright and realised that my pillow was slightly wet. Sweat cascaded down to my chin, drops of them landing on my shirt every time I move.

I'm Lacy Evans, the girl in school who almost half of the boys in school had a crush on. But it's not what you think. I'm not like the little hoes that walk around in school everyday, wearing slutty clothes trying to get boys' attention. And for your information, I'm still a virgin. And I don't randomly flirt around, get pushed against the wall by some random guy and shoving their tongue down my throat. Anyways, although guys like me, and try to ask me out, flirt with me, stuffs like that, most of the time I reject them and I don't really pay much attention to it.

"You really shouldn't have forced me to watch that stupid movie, Leah." I said with a sigh. She just shrugged. I looked at the clock and it was 7.35 a.m.

You're probably wondering why I was staying with Leah. Well, my parents went overseas last year and they would be staying there for 3 years. They went there for some work issues so I would be staying with Leah for 3 years. I loved it.

I yawned and got up from bed, walking to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and took a short shower, feeling refreshed after that. I walked out, looking at Leah. She was holding her phone and by the way she looked, she must be scrolling through her facebook or instagram stalking people. I rolled my eyes. Typical Leah. "Come on Leah, go get prepared for school." she yawned and nodded at the same time and stood up.

I picked out a beige lace crop top and chose a maroon skater skirt to pair with it. I put the outfit on and looked into the full length mirror. Satisfied. I headed to the table at the side of the closet, which consisted of all me and Leah's makeup. I applied concealer, light eyeshadow and a coral lipstick. I looked to the side and Leah was already in her outfit - a floral crop top and denim high waisted shorts which was ripped nicely in certain parts. I tied my hair up in a high ponytail which reached my waist. I loved my hair, it was an ombre colour - light brown on the top half and pastel light red on the bottom half. I basically dyed it when my hair length was around my chest and the light brown, which was my natural hair colour, grew out as the top half. Leah, on the other hand, had blonde hair with coral ends and it was really pretty. She tied up her hair as well and we took out bags and went down the stairs, walking to the kitchen to greet her parents and say goodbye.

"Not having breakfast again?" asked Leah's mother. We nodded in unison. "Okay. Take care, see you girls later!" We waved and left for school.

"So, do you know that there will be a new guy in school today?" Leah asked suddenly when we were walking to school. I looked at her and shook my head. "Oh, I heard he is pretty cute and hot." she said to me, wriggling her eyebrows. I rolled my eyes. I've had 3 boyfriends before, and we broke up because they cheated on me. Yes, all of them. After my last boyfriend, I forced myself not to fall for any boys anymore, and not get into a relationship until I was strong enough to handle the heartbreaks and stuff. "Oh Lacy, those previous boyfriends you have were jerks. They are just jerks who are greedy of sex, they are just jerks who play with girls' hearts and feelings and they are just jerks who probably doesn't give a fuck about their girlfriends. Just get over them, you know, not all boys are the same. Who knows, you might get lucky and find someone whom you might really like and get along well with." "And he might probably like you." she added the last part with a smile on her face. I nodded at her words, now thinking real hard about it. Part of what she said was right, I should just get over the those morons whom hurt me in the past. I should just stop avoiding boys so much. In the end I still need to find one, so what's the point of avoiding. But... sigh. I just didn't want myself to get hurt again.

"So...what about the new boy?" I asked, somehow interested. "Oh, I heard that he's a bad boy." she said, the corners of her mouth tugging up. Woah, I wasn't expecting that. Okay anyways, I'll admit that bad boys are more of my type than those goodie goodie boys. But there's just one thing that I dislike about them, they flirt a lot and go around having sex with random girls.

As we entered school, we spotted some familiar friends and some waved or smiled at us as we walked past them, and we returned their gestures. We walked towards our lockers and got our books as we prepared to get to our first period, English, which we had together. "Oh my god, Lacy. Oh my god oh my god oh my god." I swear I would've slapped her if it wasn't for the books I was holding with both my hands. "What." I replied without looking at her, slightly irritated. She nudged my shoulder, which was what she does every time to get me to look at her. I looked up into her emerald green eyes that held a glint of excitement. I raised my brows and she pointed at something behind me. Without hesitation, I turned around and to my surprise, I saw a guy not far away from me. He was like literally the hottest guy ever. He was talking to a guy right beside him, so I took that chance to observe him carefully from head to toe. Oh my god. He looked like a freaking... I don't know, I'll just say he's the hottest guy I've ever met.

He had aquamarine blue eyes, which was a clear, piercing blue-green and very striking colour. His hair was ash blond in colour and his fringe covered part of his right eye which made him look hotter. He was wearing a plain white t-shirt with a black leather jacket and a pair of jeans. You can already see his abs against his white shirt which seemed a little too tight for his figure. He basically just looked perfect to me. Seriously, who wouldn't think like that. That would be perfectly normal for hormonal teenage girls like me.

I was staring so intensely at his hot body so long that I was in my own world for  moment and totally forgotten that there were people around us. It was just then I looked up into his eyes and realised he was staring at me. Oh fuck. He obviously saw me checking him out. I turned back towards my locker and closed it, my face burning red. I wasn't usually like that. I took my bag which I left on Leah's hands and carried them on one side on my shoulder. I look at her and realised she was staring at me with a smirk, one hand leaning against her locker and the other on her waist, looking smug. She had probably seen me looking at that guy the whole time. "Let's go," I muttered while looking at her and fiddling with my hands. She nodded and gave me a smile, erasing off the smug look on her face.

I was about to walk forward, where Leah was standing when I remembered our classroom was the other side. Fudge cakes. I took a deep breath and turned around. I walked slowly towards the class, staring at the ground with Leah right beside me. Suddenly, I met a pair of feet in front of mine, but it was too late when I noticed them and I banged into the person's chest. I looked up instantly. Holy mother nutella jesus! It was the guy I was checking out awhile ago.

"Shit. Um... I-I'm s-sorry..." I stuttered. Oh what a good impression you made, Lacy. That little voice in my head said sarcastically. My cheeks turned red once again. That guy smirked. "Conner Carson here." he said as he held out his hand. Oh, he must be the new guy. My heartbeat increased rapidly as I shook his hand. His touch was warm, comforting me a little. "Lacy Evans." I replied, smiling.

"What's your first period?" Conner asked.

"English," I replied, not looking into his blue eyes as I know I'll be mesmerised and I'll end up getting lost in them and embarrassing myself after that.

"Same." he said, the right side of his lips tugging up and forming a smirk.

I nodded and me and Leah continued walking to our class with Conner following behind.

"Lacy..."

I stopped abruptly, blood draining from my face as anger boiled in me and my hands was closed, nails digging into my skin but I didn't care the slightest bit. The person I wanted to see least was standing right in front of me.
