Dan's POV.
Dan layed on his bed scrolling through tumblr waiting for Phil to wake up so they could start their daily routine of watching anime and eating cereal together.It was only 8 am so Dan was okay with the fact that Phil was still asleep and was willing to wait a little longer.
As Dan sat on tumblr seconds started to turn into minutes. After about an hour of looking at pointless things on tumblr he finally heard a noise from Phil's room. A noice other than snoring. Dan never got annoyed by the loud snoring he heard coming from Phil's room for even hearing Phil breathe calmed him.
Dan hoped out of bed and walked down the hall to Phil's room.
"Phil, are you awake?" Dan softly spoke as he lightly pushed open the door. The room stayed silent until Phil spoke nearly as quietly as a whisper.
"Yeah, just give me a minute"
Dan left the door open a crack and walked out to their tv. He sat on his couch holding his coffee in his hands, as he waited he watched the steam erupt from the cup and evaporate into air.
Dan waited for what felt like ever for Phil to get out of bed. So after a long period of waiting he felt the need to check on Phil. As he approached Phil's bedroom door he heard a slight sniffle. Dan knocked on the door before entering.
"Hey Phil, you okay?"
"Just leave me alone!" Phil said, Dan could hear the pain in his voice. A sound Dan hadn't heard for awhile. He had to check on Phil, he cared to much to let Phil be alone in pain. Although neither of them knew Dan was slowly falling in love with Phil. As Dan walked into the room he saw Phil curled up into a ball on his bed, Phil's eyes red and glassy with what looked like trails from tears stained on his face. Dan quickly ran over holding Phil close to his chest. Phil wanted to pull away but had never felt better in his arms before.
"What's wrong" Dan's soothing voice spoke.
"I'm a mess" Phil spoke, his voice husky "a-and I well." He stopped and shook his head.
"What?" Dan said his voice concerned.
"I think I'm in love with you Dan! I'm a mess though, why would you even bother being around me. I-I just, why do you stick around you could be so much happier?" Phil quickly blurted out, after he finished his eyes quickly shifted to the floor. Dan cupped Phil's cheeks lifting his face so Phil was looking right into his eyes.
"Because I need you, idiot."
Before Dan could think about his actions he wrapped his arms around Phil. He could feel Phil smile on his shoulder.
"I love you Dan"
"I love you too"
