P.O.V Maggie

I'm currently at my besties house and we are playing a classical game of hide n seek. I was hiding under the old sink's cabinet that was suprisingly clean, but rusty underneath with all the pipes. It had a foul stench and tight but i managed to get comfortable with my hands around my knees. My bestie, Jenny, was counting upstairs and i closed my eyes slightly out of fear waiting for any type of movement and sound. I then heard a creak echo within the walls of the house. I can feel my heart pounding against my throat. I swallow apprehensively as sweat starts to form on my forehead. Silence. I'm gasping for air this time... It is awfully too quiet. I tap my finger against my folded arms, followed by the leaking pipes above me. Thats when a blood curling scream boomed in my ears and throughout the house followed by darkness consuming the house in whole. The lights have turned off. I slowly opened the cabinet less than a inch and peered from the small creak. My hot breath hitting against my face as the wooden cabinet door doesn't permit access to the hot air away from my body;the tension. I then saw her. My eyes were able to focus on a similar figure, my bestie. She was then suddenly dragged off without any warning by a strange ominous figure, followed by the same pitched scream that brought tears to my eyes. I opened my mouth to let out a scream, but nothing. Nothing but silence overcame me. Enclosed me I was nothing but mute, a scared weakling with no power or strength. I closed the cabinet door and started crying in the corner within the darkness. I couldn't. But as I was alone in my thoughts I gripped on the only courage I had and crawled out of my hiding spot panting. I wipe the excess sweat from my forehead that tickled across the sides of my face. As i slowly got up, I heard small whimpers. I walked up the stairs with booming creeks echoing the weight underneath me. I can feel as the Earth started moving and I grip the bars on the staircase. I'm terrified. I hesitantly walk up the last 4 steps and heard the whimpers get louder. My throat was dry, painfully dry with a burning sting that felt like gas consuming my lungs and overtaking my lack to breathe and talk. As I get closer I notice a tiny girl in a victorian dress crying in the insidiously dark corner. I hesitantly walked towards her and as I slowly make my way to reach out to touch her with shaking sweaty hand... her head snapped towards me and had a face that resembled a cracked porcelain doll with pitch dark lips applied on perfectly with no misperfections along with souless eyes that reflected my horrified expression. She gave me a chesire grin, that sent shivers down my spine and I instinctly open my mouth to let out a shaky dry burning scream I ran down stairs. Until I felt a hard object against my body and look up to see Jenny. She let out a high pitched laugh followed by a mischievous smile that went through my eyes.

"I didn't even get to scare you!" she said in a continuous laughter.
"What do u mean?......the girl!......" I cried with a dry voice. I looked down at my feet; that couldn't be her... she never takes it too far... or could she?
Jenny's expression suddenly changed to a confused face.
"What girl?" Jenny asked in desbelieve with folded arms and a raised eyebrow.
Jenny's disbelieved face then turns to a smirk, "You're trying to scare me eh?"
I stared motionless with a dumbfounded look in my face that soon turned my mouth downwards to a frown. The frown then turns to a horrified facial expression of realization.
I stayed quiet and thought about the girl with the porcelain face. The way her eyes stared into my soul as if she would snatch it from my body at any given moment. How she will affect my life. How Jenny can't  remember  being snatched violently in a sudden movement that my eyes can not comprehend. Times like this I knew I must be mute. The only sound that came out from me was my heart, it raced as I  looked around frantically. All that can be heard in the room in a fast continous, on beat booming; my heart.
