Chap 12

The next day in school, Kai never appeared. The day after, no sign of the brunette. The third day, still no Kai. Miwa began feeling impatient and his guilt kept increasing by every day.

He had both called and texted Kai, but he refused to answer. Miwa had went to his home and begged for Kai to talk with him. But Kai refused to open the door, he just yelled for Miwa to go away.

Miwa even went as far as ask Sakura how Kai is doing. She didn't know herself. She told him that Kai hadn't left his house since the funeral and the talk in the park. She herself tried calling the brunette but he refuses to answer her calls and text messages as well.

Of course, Miwa knew the signs. Kai was going depressed if this wouldn't stop. He had been depressed way back, when his parents died but he was brought out by Ren and Tetsu, who became his friends only to stumble back into loneliness when Ren got PSYqualia. Only to get brought back by Aichi.

But this is different. This isn't one of these moments when someone walks in the shadows, this is about feelings. This is about a broken heart. This isn't one of these momets when Miwa can ask one of their friends to get him back. No, this is something he needs to do himself. If he really treasure the brunette as his boyfriend, this is something he needs to do himself. And the first step is to face Misaki.

Miwa made his way to card capital. To talk with Misaki. Facing her is a step closer to get Kai back. So he walked in. Misaki sat at the front desk, reading as usual. Miwa walked over to her and she looked up.

''Welcome Miwa.'' she said and made a pretty smile. But the blonde didn't smile back.

''Tell me, Misaki... why did you do this?'' Miwa demanded as he clenched his fists. She looked confused at him.

''What are you talking about?''

''You know what I mean!'' Miwa yelled and brought attention from the other costumers. ''Stop act like you don't know a thing!'' ''Why did you and Sakura try separate me and Kai? Tell me!!''

Misaki kept on staring at him. But then her eyes narrowed.

''Why you ask? Because you and Kai can't be together. It's forbidden. You should be with me instead. If you and Kai are together, you will never be able to raise a family. You will never be able to get kids.''

''I don't care about that stuff! I love Kai! He means everything for me! Because of you two... I've not only lost his as my boyfriend, but also his trust in me, as a friend...'' Miwa muttered as a single tear ran down his cheek.

''If Kai goes into depression again, it's your fault! I will never forgive you for this Misaki!'' Miwa yelled once his rage came back.

Misaki hanged her head low and kept getting the blonde's rage thrown at her. What wrong had she done? Is it really that bad to fight for the one you love?

Miwa left the shop in anger and frustation. Misaki was left at the front desk with damaged feelings.

Miwa ran back to the apartment Kai lived in. There is no way he will give up. He made it to the highest floor and walked to Kai's door.

He knocked on the door and waited for a response. It came faster than he anticipated.

''Who is it?'' he asked as Miwa heard footsteps by the other side.

''Kai, it's me Miwa.. Please open the door.. I really need to talk with you.'' he begged as new tears came from his eyes.

A moment passed and nothing happened. Suddenly a soft click was heard and the door opened slowly, expose the brunette with his brows furrowed.

''What do you want?'' he asked coldly. Guess he wasn't over the funeral thing yet.

''I have to make things clear between us. Can you please let me in.''

Kai was quiet for a while before he stepped out of the way and let the blonde in. Miwa sat down on the floor while Kai sat on his bed with his arms crossed.

Miwa gulped. This was is. He is finally going to tell the brunette everything. From Sakura's apperance to his talk with Misaki in the shop a few minutes ago. But could he get Kai back with his side of the story? It doesn't feel like that way, since Kai might not trust him anymore. It has to come from someone else. And that someone else is Misaki and Sakura. Well, here goes nothing.
