I Wish
Looking out again as we pass lush green trees and evergreen grasses, I gasp silently as I saw a big green sign saying in white letters 'Welcome to Whitefield'.
I suddenly felt anxious as to start my life here. I was thinking of looking for a job to help with the rent if I needed more money since the cash I brought won't hold me up for long. I surely will not be asking my mother for any money and I certainly will not turn to my faher for anything whatsoever. He has done enough.
"Where exactly should I take you?" Louis asked her.
"Oh uhm here" she gave him the piece of paper with the address of exactly where her mother had decided she was going.
"Ah, Payne's Apartment Complex and Café. A good ole' place and for the right price. I actually know the Payne's son that lives in the building. He also works down at the café-" Louis ranted on as I started to feel highly uncomfortable. I didn't plan on seeing him again.
After all, I practically just told him the story of my life.
"You know of him or you know him?" I asked, hoping it wouldn't be the latter.
'You didn't run here to make friends.' My mind yelled at me.
"I know him ,love. We've been friends ever since we were wee little things" he gushed as he thought back to the days he and this 'Payne' character were together.
And that caused him to almost hit into another car that was trying to over take us. Louis drawed such a sudden brake causing me to hit my head on the leather of the front passenger's head rest.
"Son of a goose!" Louis shouted, pushing his head through the window and continued with his antics as if the speeding car could hear him. It quite actually looked like the same car that drove in the puddle, messing up my jeans earlier.
"Are you bloody well trying to kill us you spoiled biscuit! Cheese and rice! Are you alright Diana?"
For a moment I didn't know who Louis was talking to and reality slapped me with a big red brick.
"Yes. Yes I am. Quite frankly, the head rest was soft enough to not burst my head open." I smiled at him and he smiled back starting up the car again.
"Cheese and rice? Not a good combo but how does it taste" I asked Louis sarcastically and he let out a loud laugh.
"Not too nice. Has a bad after taste and left me scrubbing burned cheese at the bottom of the pot" he told me.
I wasn't sure if he was serious or not and he started laughing almost maniacally.
"I'm joking love"
I smiled at him in response. I still can't get that black convertible out my head. I swore it looked just like-
"Liam." Louis blurted out.
"Huh?" I asked him in confusion.
"Thats the name of my friend that works at his parents café." He explained. "You won't miss him, short light brown hair at the top, brown eyes, growing a stubble that I think looks really good on him." He then started to blush out of nowhere. "Not that I uh...ment that in any way or anything."
I see.
Laying my head on the head rest, I pulled out my new phone I bought at the airport and decided to save my mother's number since I want to speak to her after I settle in.
