“Daddy can I ask you something?” said the little girl who is walking happily with her father under a golden crepuscule of a beautiful Caucasian day.
The little girl was born blind and her father is the only family left to her because her mother died in childbirth. Despite of her disability, her father loves her so much. Indeed, her father is a precious treasure to be kept.
Her father nodded for approval.
"Father when can I see you? How long will it take for you to find me an eye donor? I'm really excited to see you and lay my eyes on the beautiful world that is waiting for me." she asked.
"Soon my princess, soon on your special day. I promise you." her father answered her.
"But when will that special day be?" she asked again.
"I don't know my princess. Maybe when all my dreams and promises for you will be turned into reality." said her father.
Those words are the most special words the little girl have ever heard from her father, words that are full of melodious compassion that ignites the vibrancy of hope which serves as her light.
Years passed by so quickly and the little girl is not little anymore, she is now a fine young lass with a beautiful face of an angel that strikes like sunlight.
A month before her 18th birthday, her father told her a great news. He told her that he has found an eye donor.
The girl was so happy because she can finally see her beloved father so she prepared a little presentation to show how grateful and thankful she is to have a father like him.
She sang to him a simple, but very symphonious song which shows her love for her dear father.
At last, the day that will change everything in her life has come, the day of her eye surgery. The girl is very excited at the same, nervous. She hugged her father and told him what she feels.
"My too my princess, I'm also very excited. My princess, I don't know what you will feel or what your reaction will be after the surgery, but always remember that as a father, there is nothing that I will not do for you. It's because I love you and I really want you to be happy, I want you to fulfil your dreams and I want you to live your life normally and happily." replied her father.
"What are talking about father? I don't understand you." she asked confusingly.
"Don't think about it much. You'll understand it soon, maybe. I will leave you now my princess, good luck. Just always remember that I love you and I'll always will." he kissed the girl's forehead and left the room.
The eye surgery of the girl was a success. She stayed at the hospital for a while and when she was discharged, she hurriedly went home to see her beloved father.
"Father! Father! Where are you? I'm home." she shouted excitedly as she stepped her feet into their house. She only heard a deafening silence as a response.
She decided to search all the parts of their house, from the living room up to the last room, but to her disappointment, she found no one. She was about to give up, but her heart told her not to.
So she tried to search again. She suddenly stopped when she realized one thing, the garden, the only place in their house that she hasn’t searched yet.
She immediately rushed to the garden, and saw an old man standing behind the tree, facing away from her with a staff in his hands.
Thinking that he was only their helper, she asked him, "Excuse me Sir, sorry for the disturbance, but have you seen my Father?"
The old man faced her and gave only his warmest smile for an answer.
That moment, she realized that the man was just like her before,
a less fortunate soul being unable to see and witness the wonders created by God.
She touched the old man's face with tears streaming down her cheeks.
And when she touched it, she felt her soulful flesh danced with the blind man.
"Father?"
