Chapter 1: When Present meets Future.
"Zoey!" my voice cracked as I look wildly around the green deserted wood, my heart thumping.
She was right here. One moment we were chasing each other and the next moment she got ahead of me and disappeared in the vivacious green. And now I was lost.
"Zoey!"
"She's not here."
A tiny gasp escaped my lips as I whirled around. Sitting on a branch of a maple tree, swinging his legs, sat a boy. He looked about my age. He had brown silky hair that played with the wind, with eyes such a vivacious and gorgeous green, from here I could see them; they reminded me of shining emeralds and lively green grass.
"I can see far from up here," he said, "and I can't see anyone for miles."
His 9 year old face lit up with a cute smile as he jumped down from the branch and walked towards me.
From up close, his green eyes were even more breath taking, flecked with gold, shining like leaves sprinkled with the morning dew.
"But I can help you." A dimple formed in his right cheek as he smiled shyly.
Dazed, I kept on looking at him. I was confused, why would this stranger, who carried on such a powerful and mysterious aura around him, help me?
Confusion crossed over his face as he cocked his head.
"Don't you talk?"
I shook myself out of my reverie.
"Of course I do." I huffed.
"Don't you have someone to find?"
I gasped, suddenly remembering my lost sister. "Zoey! I forgot about her!"I turned to him. "Please, can you help me find her?"
He rolled his eyes. "I said I would just a few moments ago."
"You did?" I asked confused.
He rolled his eyes, but the coy smile remained in place. "Come on, let's find her."
And so we did.

One Year Later.
"Ana! Hurry up! They're already here!" Zoey, my twin called out.
Hurriedly slipping my feet in my tattered sandals, I raced down to meet them.
Outside the Orphanage, stood Arham and the twins, Shanzeh and Adl with Zoey.
"Finally!" said Shanzeh wrapping one hand around my arm and the other around Zoey's. "We thought we had to drag you out."
It was a Saturday morning and as usual we had decided to meet up with Arham and his siblings. We had been friends ever since Arham helped me out in the woods. We always planned to spend the day out on Saturday, as the other days Arham and the twins went to school and we would be busy in the Orphanage chores. Sunday, they spent with their family, so it was impossible to meet. But we met in the late afternoons every day as well. Every Saturday, we went to explore a new place. Today, we planned on going to the riverside.
