Prolouge:
It was bitter cold that night, and the snow was coming down. This wasn't normal snow though, it was a blizzard, with snow coming in sideways. The snow pounded my cheeks as I walked with my parents to our car. It was my birthday, and we had gone out to see a play. Our local theatre was preforming hamlet; I've always had a love for shakespere so my parents took me to the play as a surprise. It was a dark play, but I fell in love with it.
As the three of us walked back to the car we talked about the play, eventually we had to hurry to the car due to the blizzard.
As we all got in the car we instantly wanted to turn up the heat. My father was repeatedly teasing me about me turning sixteen. My mom eventually hushed him and we sat in the car listening to the news. The weather was becoming worrisome, and my mother wanted to make sure we would all be okay. She kept saying that we need to pull over, but my father just wanted to get home.Father finally convinced her that we will be fine.
He could never be more wrong...
As we kept driving down the road the snow became blinding, the road was still visible, but barley. The closer we got to home the more the snow came down. We were about to arrive home until we crashed.
A drunk driver had hit us head on
I thought that I would be fine, I was more than wrong
