I woke up the next morning and looked down only to fear the worst, a bed that was half empty, Jessie was gone. I didn't know what to think at first, was she ok did she get in trouble? My troubles were laid to rest after I finished over reacting as I found a note that she had left me on my nightstand. It was basically her thanking me for everything and that she's fine she just had to leave and go home. I put on some clothes and placed the note in my pocket, got on my wheel chair, and then rolled myself down to the food quart area. As I was about to go down the elevator I felt a cold hand grab me by the shoulder.

"get over here bot you're in a whole heap of trouble." Said the man behind me.

Shit, someone did find out. This can't be happening right now. I was freaking out the guy behind me could probably feel the sweat coming down my neck. I could not stop freaking out, well couln'dt stop till I figured out who it was that is.

"Nice one doc" I said about to blow up on him, barley being able to restrain myself.

"Yea got you good there, you were about to flip!"

I decided it'd be better to not hit him cosidering he's covering for me and Jess.

"Hey," I started, "Have you seen Jess?"

"No I haven't, but I'm sure that she's fine." He smiled and gave me a pat on the back. "now cmon, let's go downstairs and eat. I'm guessing that's were you're going to?"

"Heh, yea I am" kind of hungry."

We walked down to the food quart together, of course he wanted to know everything that had happened the night before, but I wouldn't let up. I assured him that nothing bad happened and even if it did I wouldn't tell him. He kept pushing and pushing, so I ended up telling him exactly what had happened, but it was easy to tell he didn't believe me at all. I finished my breakfast after that and parted ways from Dr.Glather. As much as I like the guy, he can be such a little kid sometimes, maybe if I give him a sucker he'll shut up, but I couldn't be that lucky.

I got to the elevator and went back to my room, and just sat and thought about what Jessie would be up to right now if she was here. My daydreaming was cut short as the phone in my room started to ring.

"Uhh hello?" I asked in a very confussed state of mind.

"Hey, It's Jessie, well I was just calling you to tell you that you and I are fine from any kind of trouble. But hey I have to go, but I'll see you tomorrow."

"Oh ok, well good to hear from you Jess."

"Yea, you too. Goodbye Jare"

"Bye."

I let that last word hang not knowing what to do with it. It was good to hear from her, but my mind wandered to last night. I had the urge to act upon, but I couldn't bring my self to saying those three words. I love you. I wanted to call back and tell her just so that she would know for sure.

I finally snapped out of my emotional trance and wheeled out of my room, maybe it will helo me rest my mind if I go look around a bit. I went over to the elevator and headed up to the gym with the bag containing my legs. On my way down the hallway I remebered the cart that I saw yesterday and decided to go and have a look. I wheeled in and was instantly stopped by one of the doctors saying I cant be here because these people need rest and all that. I eventually got him to let me go and see a few of the patients. After seeing just a few beds I found out that all these people were victims of some sort of burning on thier body. They look like they're in more pain than anyone I've ever seen.  Eventually I got to the end of the row and saw a glass looking tube holding a girl in side who was laying on a bed. covered in bandages. I asked around about the girl in ther but the only answer I was going to get was that she was in a fire and that I shouldn't worry about it. It was very hush hush and made me very suspicious, but I guess I would find out if I needed to and eneded up leaveing and going down to the gym like I had origanlly planed.
