Is this world what it is?
Where the young get soul crystals right at birth. They start as a null, having the ability to move faster than light itself and use minds to hold and bring up anything. After 14 years, they get marks etched in by truth. The symbols saying their power(s) after they get engraved.
8 people with main signs are special, created from pure ash and dust. Bringing back the light to create a brighter flame.
New emblems will quickly follow. Some come to adjust ,and pushes up the main to sucsses. Others can't see what makes them really different, and pushes down to keep them from the light.
When distress arrives, paths will show. A invisible force pressing to do one or another. The gems, soon will break. One will shatter completely, to keep other from fracturing even more.
Potential is brought late to the battle. One by one, they come up to shine.
Soon, carved shards of evil will be purified. Those who were born with the heart of dark, shall fall into void forever. With no ending or stopping.
