My Little Monster [Haru X Reader]

  "So, let's get down to business. I need Haru to quit that school and go back home."  

"Hu-huh?" asked [Name], as Yuuzan got up.

"You know that Haru's living with Mitsuyoshi just now, right?" asked Yuuzan.

"H-huh?" asked [Name], dumbfoundedly. "O-oh yes!"

"Our dad is pretty strict," said Yuuzan, eating his donut. "He kicked Haru out of the house before he even entered middle school. He was a pretty big troublemaker. I don't know why Dad changed his mind, but he suddenly wants to bring Haru back. So I was sent to convince him to return. Haru hates both of us, so I can't get close enough to him."

"Has Haru said anything?" asked [Name], worriedly.

"Based on what Mitsuyoshi said, Haru doesn't intend to return. 'Srew that!' was his answer," said Yuuzan, calmly. "Well, there's no helping that. So there you go. I'm sure you'll be lonely if Haru-Kun goes fay away, [Name]-Chan. Can you help me out?" 

"Um, I don't understand what you mean," said [Name], innocently. "Didn't you come here to bring Haru back?"

"Yep, but that's what our dad wants," replied Yuuzan. "Personally, it would be very inconvenient for him to come back."

"What?" asked [Nmae], worrying.

"If he comes back, we'll end up killing each other," chuckled Yuuzan. "Dad and I both gave up on Haru long ago, but now he's actually going to High school. It sounds like there's been a few incidents, but he's still going to class. Why is that?"

He pointed at [Name], who was shaking slightly.

"Ta-da! It's because you're here," said Yuuzan, as it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Haru won't quit school as long as you're there. That's the only way I can keep Haru here."

[Name] didn't know how to respond, but she felt like she was being used for some reason.

"Well? What will you do, [Name]-Chan?"

All of the sudden, [Name] felt herself being pulled away from Yuuzan. She opened up her eyes and saw that it was Haru. He was throwing his bag at him, but Yuuzan was quick to back off.

"Haru!" exclaimed [Name].

"Bastard! What do you think you're doing, Yuuzan!?" yelled Haru.

"Sorry, I saw you coming!" laughed Yuuzan. "It's been a long time since we've last talked, Haru. You doing okay?"

"I don't know what you and dad want, but I'm not going back now!" yelled Haru. "If you want to make me quit school, go ahead and try it! Let's go, [Name]!"

Haru made [Name] get up and walk. She turned to look at Yuuzan one last time and saw him smirking, making her think. She stopped Haru from walking any further.

"Haru... I think you should hear Yuuzan-san out..." said [Name], twiddling her thumbs. "He said that he isn't here to take you back..."

"What!?" yelled Haru.

"Sorry, but I don't want you to quit school," said [Name], trying to convince him. 

"I can't trust what he says!"

"That's a mean thing to say!" exclaimed Yuuzan.

"You stay out of this!"

"You shouldn't say that! You should listen when your darling asks you something. Plus, I didn't want to say this, but if you keep running away, she'll have to take your place. Like today.

Haru sighed.

"Fine. Star talking. I'll listen. What do you want me to do?"

"It's very simple,"said Yuuzan. "I just need you to promise that you'll go back to school."

"Huh?"

"Dad didn't think you'd start going to school. Now he wants you to quit and enroll you in a new school where he can influence you. But if you've learned to function in society, there's no reason to force you back home. I can convince dad. Well? Sounds like a good deal?"

"Okay, I promise." said Haru, bluntly. "Great. There we go. Let's go [Name]."

"Uh... sure..." said [Name], following Haru.

'Haru going far away...' thought [Name], looking at her hand touching Haru's hand. 'I never considered that a possibility...'

Haru stopped walking and looked at [Name].

"What were you doing with Yuuzan?" asked Haru.

"M-me? Wi-with him?" asked [Name], stuttering. "U-um... He said that he wanted to talk about something with me... Gomen... I-I just wanted to know more about you...

"... Just don't go near Yuuzan again," sighed Haru.

"What?" asked [Name].

"If you see him, run away," warned Haru. "I can never tell what he's thinking. Got it?"

"I-I guess..." stuttered [Name], twiddling with her thumbs.

"Fine... That shows me you love me..." said Haru, blushing and looking away.

"Ha-Haru!"

"Let's go home..." sighed Haru.

"Sure..." replied [Name].

During the walk home, Haru shared some reavelations of his past. He used to play with Yuuzan before, playing the hero and such. [Name] thought about Haru going back home and she stopped walking, grabbing Haru's shirt.

"Haru... Do you plan to go... Back?" asked [Name].

"Oh, no," replied Haru, apathetically. "That place is a devil's den. Hmm? What is it?"

"I-I read that when people feel anxious, the-they crave human contact..." blushed [Name]. "Ca-can I touch you?"

"What!?" exclaimed Haru.

[Name] slowly cupped Haru's cheek.

"O-oh..." said Haru. "That's what you meant..."

"If you leave, I'll probably be sad...." said [Name], sadly. "However, if there's somewhere else you'd rather be, you should admit it. Please don't lose sight of what you really want."

Haru smiled and touched [Name]'s hand.

"Yeah. I want to be with you."
