Y/N's POV
I was in front of my laptop, doing my five pages assignment. I stopped here and there but then something will come pop and I'll continue typing once again.
If a person...
If a person is...
I rolled my eyes and leaned back. That's it! I started typing again but stopped when I heard a knock on my door. "Come in!"
The door opened and revealed my seven years old baby brother. He was looking down and swaying from side to side, with hands behind his back. Here we go again.
"What did you do now?" I asked, closing my laptop gently. He didn't answer and didn't move from his spot. "Oh come on, Jairus. Come." I pat the seat beside me. "Tell me."
He walked closer to me and jumped on my bed. "I can't tell mom and dad."
"Why not? Wait- is that why you're here?" I frowned. What might happened that he can't tell it to our parents? He always tell everything to them.
He gulped, "My teacher said that she needs to speak with my guardian tomorrow."
My jaw dropped slightly, "What did you do?"
Jairus looked at me, "Well, it's... it's hard to explain. You might get confuse."
"I'll try not to." Did he got in to a fight? I don't see any bruise on his face or body.
Then he explained everything to me, part by part. It's their art time, five students sitting around a table, one of them is Jairus. I smiled lightly when he told me there's a cute girl beside him named Sharlene, he said he keeps glancing on her because she's beautiful. When suddenly he accidentally knocked off a cup of blue paint and spilled it all over her blue dress.
Jairus even tried to joke saying that, "It doesn't look that bad."
I tried not to laugh because if I did, he'll stop telling me. He said that the girl cried and that the girl didn't stopped. Jairus said that the girl wants to talk to his guardian and that the teacher can't do anything because she'll never stop crying.
"So here I'am. Please don't be mad." Jairus pleased while I smiled softly. When the truth is I'm already dying of laughter inside.
"It's Sharlene who wants to talk to your guardian?" I asked, if I understand it correctly.
He nodded, "Don't tell mommy and daddy, please Y/N? I don't wanna be scolded. I think Sharlene's guardian will come too."
I sighed and nodded, "Okay, okay. I will be there. What time?"
He grinned and hugged me, "Thank you, Y/N! You're the best sister ever!"
"I alread knew that, Jairus. No need to say it." I joke and we both laughed.
He told me that I need to be there at 8 o'clock tomorrow and I'm glad because my class don't start until 9. Hopefully, this won't take long. Jairus then exited my room, leaving a kiss on my cheek making me smile.
Earlier, I thought he fought with someone or something. That surely will scare me. But it's just paint spilling on a girl's dress. The girl is probably a hard-headed, and you know those kids that cry over something they can't have and have a fit in a mall or somewhere? Maybe Sharlene is that kind.
Hmm. Kids.
**
I woke up when I heard the alarm goes off from my phone. I groaned and turn it off, stuffing my face back in my pillow. I usually wake up at 8. But since I'm Jairus' 'guardian' for today, I need to wake up an hour early.
