3 - Shy

I felt my teeth chattering as I stepped outside, the wind hitting me. Chills went up my spine.

I kept walking as the sky was dark grey, shielding away a lot of light. I wanted to go on a nice walk, but it wouldn't be that way.

I got to the sidewalk outside my house and went right. I decided I would go to the shops nearby. The place seemed empty and abandoned, almost as if everyone were locked inside in blankets.

That's where I should be.

I got to the shops and hurried inside, knocking into a man who was leaving.

"Sorry!" I said, steadying myself as he did the same. He had his hood covering his face, but when he looked up our eyes met.

"A bit cold, isn't it?" I smiled slightly.

He nodded, trying to push past me, but I stopped him. He looked familiar.

"Do I know you?" I grabbed his arm, and he turned to me, unsure.

"No." He tried to get away, but I kept him there. I knew him, but how?

"I'm Jennifer Lawrence." I whispered to him.

He straightened, staring at me, pulling back his hood to reveal his black hair.

"Jennifer Lawrence?" He questioned, and I nodded. "I'm Josh Hutcherson." He whispered.

Of course! He was a celebrity. I had seen him before in other movies, in fact he gave me inspiration to start acting myself. Both of us were born and raised in Kentucky.

"You're that girl from Winter's Bone, right?" He raised his eyebrows.

"Yeah." I smiled.

He smiled too.

"Sorry, I, uh was kind of staying quiet in case of fans." He said, looking around discreetly.

"It's alright, we could go through that together." I shrugged. His eyes found mine, and we both laughed.

"Yeah. We could." He smiled.

We didn't, though. In fact, we didn't see each other again until nearly a year later when we were cast in The Hunger Games together.

But how glad I am to have fallen in love with Josh Hutcherson that day, able to find out he felt the same way 9 months later instead of never at all.
