Whenthe night falls
Ilay my head
Onshallow ground
Coveredby the sand of desert dunes
Iwill be found
Writeyour name with fingers
inthe sand
Andit's blown away by sandstorms
And
I'mgonna leave this ghost town
She was leaving. With the roadbeneath her feet and only the moon and the stars above her she feltalive. Even the feeling of uneasiness started to subside. After aweek that hat felt like a thousand years. Her body started eventuallyto relax – and not only her body.
There was only one bag she had tocarry. Everything unnecessary was left behind at that place she hadcalled home. The night was warm and quiet. Even the wind seemed tosleep. It should have been a lonely walk but it was not. All herfriends were with her – for ever in her heart.
Every time she closed her eyes formore than a second she could feel the last kiss linger on her lips. Her thoughts strayed back to the man she had kissed. He had been agood friend , nothing more. But his face was burned into her memory –his eyes, lips, even the feeling to be near him. She also rememberedthe look in his eyes. The look when she had kissed him. If he wouldhave said a word, she could have stayed. Stayed with him. But he hadsaid nothing and here she was. The lights of a car appeared in thedistance and she raised her arm. It was a truck and it stopped nearher. She climbed into it.
Andall the memories
Thatcome at night and steal my sleep
Thenever ending game of love and pain
I'min too deep
Rattlesnakesdraw circles in the dust
Andwhile I watch them I realize I must
Leavethis ghost town
