Prologue

"Charlotte" I heard my mom yell from downstairs.I opened the door and went inside the kitchen.As soon as I steeped inside my nostrils smelled pancakes,and not the ordinary ones but my favourite : Blueberry pancakes.I think I started to drool because the next thing that I heard was my dad chuckling and saying something to my mom.

"What?" I asked trying to look mad but I failed because a smile found its way to my face.

"Nothing hun"my dad told me.I let it go and started to look at him and noticed a hint of worry in his face.He must have realized I saw it because his next words shocked me a little. "Listen Charlie...Umm...Well me and your mother would like to tell you something so please sit down".I grabbed the closest chair and sat there.I was starting to get a little worried.There was and awkward silence between us.

"So..."I was the first to speak.

"We don't know how to tell you this"my mom spoke in my father's place. "Your father has got an amazing opportunity to work in Chicago and since he can't go there and return during day we wanted to tell you that we have decided to move there".

'Thanks for the heads up'I thought but didn't say that.I put on my happy face and decided to congratulate my father about this and I quote 'amazing opportunity'.

"Congrats dad"I told him and then I got up from my chair and hugged him.I saw the joy in my mother's face so I decided to support him.When I sat back down my dad spoke.

"We thought that the best thing we could do for you is to let you live here with your aunt until you finish school and then you can come with us.You don't have to answer us now,just consider it and we will talk tomorrow."my dad spoke trying to cheer me up.I felt good for getting to finish this school year here,but I would miss my parents too.

"Thanks mom."I said kissing her cheek."Thanks dad."I kissed him too and gave both a bear hug.

After I finished breakfast I decided to go to my room and tell the news to my BFF and my boyfriend.I picked up my phone and after the second ring she answered.

"Hello"I heard her say and I responded by telling her a quick hello and than started telling her about what my parents told me.I started from the job offer to the moment they told me I could finish school here.I mentioned that the next year I wouldn't be here but in Chicago.Than she said she would meet me at the park.

I was starting to get ready when I remembered to call Robin.I picked up my phone and put my code.I selected his name and when I was about to hang up he answered.

"Hey"he said but I could hear the cold tone he used.I was surprised but I let it go.

"Hey Robin"I replied."Look I am going to the park with Clarissa and I was hoping you could come. I have something to tell you and it's pretty important".

"I can't."That's all he said...Not even an explanation.Well I guess he was busy.

"Okay,I'll talk to you la-"I didn't even get to finish my sentence because he had hung up.Surprised I continued getting ready and went to the park.

Clarissa was waiting for me there and when she looked up her eyes locked to mine and she came running towards me.If I hadn't catched her we would be both in the ground right now.She let go of me giggling like a 5 year old.

"OMG"she yelled"I can't believe this is our last year together"  'I can't either' I thought but instead of saying that I tried cheering her up.

"Come on now,don't be like that.We will meet in summer and in school breaks.We'll talk on the phone, text and Skype 24/7.Don't worry that little brain of yours."She chuckled and playfully hit my shoulder.

"I know that 'genius' "she replied putting air quotes.

And that is how my day went.I was either talking with Clarissa or discussing the move with my parents.I started gathering a few of my things that I used only in summer so that they could take them in Chicago.And I was waiting and waiting and waiting for Robin to call

A few days later

Robin never called.He didn't even text me and when I saw him at the park he turned around and continued walking in the other side I was in.I didn't understand why he did that.'Did I do something wrong?Did I say something bad?'That was all I could think of.He ignored me all week.My parents had moved five days ago and I was starting to think if I should have gone with them.I tried calling him again but my phone call went straight to voicemail.I was pretty pissed of with him right now so I decided to go to his house.He answered the door and when he locked eyes with me they held guilt. Or it could only be my imagination because after 2 seconds his face held a blank expression.

"Hey"I said trying to sound friendly.

"You need to leave"he scowled.'Rude much'I thought to myself.I was confused because then he shut the door in my face.And let me tell you am so pissed off.He can't just treat me like that and then expect me to go back to him.I AM going to move to Chicago.

An hour and a half later

After I called my parents I started packing and now there is nothing left in the room I was staying because I hadn't unpacked my thing when I arrived to Aunt Helen.The moving truck was waiting for me outside.I slipped into my ReeBok Trainers and took my last box to the truck.Then I climbed on my seat and fastened my seat belt.I thought about all the great memories I had with Robin here and I kissed those memories goodbye.'It is time for a new begining'I thought as we started going to Chicago.

Hey guys!Here's your update.So this is just a filler chapter to let you know why she decided to move to Chicago and to introduce you to our characters.Most of them will come out in the middle of the book so be patient and continue reading this book.Also this chapter is unedited so sorry for any gramatichal mistakes.
